I was a teenager, I remember the 100 year thing. I remember thinking it was so cool. How many other religions had a 100 year old magazine. Everyone was so proud of that.

.to happen first in the us?
or do you think neither will ever happen?
consider that they are both members of a majority group and a minority group.
I figure neither one will happen, no matter which one gets elected (woman or man of color) someone will try to and probably succeed in killing them. It will be interesting to see. I am almost sure that Bill Clinton will end up becoming the first gentleman.

it's a basset puppy, by the way.
so can anybody top this in the cute category?.
nina
how cute. I miss my dogs, after my house fire last year I had to send them to relatives to live. They are still there. The apartment I live in does not allow animals, well they do but it is a $500 deposit. When I need to see pets I go to my sisters and play with her dogs. Someday I will have them back. Thanks for posting such a great picture.

.
did you ever date a dub-ya or a nondub in secret while active?
i did, with a ms who said we had to keep our relationship on the down low 'cause he was being considered for the big e and he didn't want the brothers and the c.o to quesiton his personal life, now that's code for 'i don't want the elders to know i'm making out on non-meeting nights!
It was never in secret.I stated dating a non jw man when I was 19, he was 29. I didn't keep it a secret but because my family was so umimportant, no one noticed. I would have gotten away with it if my mother hadn't ratted me out. She let my step dad kick me out of the house and I had no where to go, but she had to tell on the only place I was welcome. No wonder we don't get along so well now.

well; i did'nt know ' being a man' was so complicated...it seems you do have think quite a lot before opening those mouths of yours...... .
it is ok for a man to cry under the following circumstances: .
a. when a heroic dog dies to save its master.
Hey, I want a playstation 2,then I won't have to share it with my kids.
So if you love me......

(the only mom on the block that loves video games.)
i find myself finally becoming accustomed to the fact that i am single again.
i am no longer thinking in couple terms and i now cook to please only me.
it's fun and scary all at the same time.
Single, not actively looking, but would not be upset if I met someone. I get tired of doing things alone. But with my youngest son's problems having a relationship could be hard. Most men I know would not be able to handle some of the things my son does. Especially in the mornings before his meds kick in. (had a really bad morning today, this is only the third day of school. And he really woke up in the wrong universe this morning.) So I am not real hopeful, but would like to meet someone. Pam
on bank holiday monday just gone, a dear kind older couple in the cong decided to take me and my good lady out for a slap up meal, to try to cheer us up after the recent upheaval in our life.
somehow i ended up with the bill.. anyway, this was the local italian trattoria were we often go, and are on first names terms with the staff and quite a few of the other regulars.
big mistake!!.
I never prayed before meals. Neither did my mother. But when we were at family events, and especially if our non jw relatives were there my mom made a big deal about getting my bil to pray. It was always so dumb. My parent support worker (someone to talk to about my son) prayers silently in resturants all the time. We went to burger king to just for a snack, and she had to pray before she ate her apple pie. I always feel funny, because ususally we are having a conversation and then she has to pause and bow her head. Does any remember going to jw picnics and things and the long prayers they would give, it was always so hard to keep my oldest son away from the food. We would stand there and wait impatiently for the prayer to get over, while the flies were having fun on the food. Pam
well, here he is in all his handsomness and sly girl-chasing potential.
grayson miller darby, my grandson extraordinaire, especially so since he's the only one i've got at the moment.
ain't he sumpin'?
He is soo cute. thanks for posting the pic.
the following story appears this morning in the south florida sun-sentinel at:.

fort lauderdale police suspect father killed son, then self in home shooting.
When I was a kid, (1970's) women were told to stay. My mom did even though my step father abused her children. The elders told her to be a better wife. Later in the early 90's it was announced at an assembly that a woman could leave if she was in phyical danger. I was so mad. I pointed out to my mom on the way home that if they had said that years ago we would have been happier. This is so sad. It seems so easy for jws to kill themselves and their families. I guess they figure the family will be brought back in the 'new world', and as for them being dead is probably easier to stand than being alive. Pam
hiya everyone!!!
as we told you in our short intro, we decided that we had enough proof?
evidence?
My oldest son was the same way when I decided not to go back. He was 11 then. I remember him saying "I never listened anyway." To this day that is what he says. He is 20 now. My youngest son was only 3 when I quit going. My mom has dragged him to a few meetings but he says they are boring, and as he can not sit still she always leaves early because of him. She finally gave up taking him behind my back. I was difinately harder on me than it was on my son. He is very smart and always seems to know what is going on before I do.
