most of you know that my mother passed away on september 12. the woman that was caring for here failed to disclose some information and outright lied and deceived us.

well, after my mother died carolyn showed up and told my sister "by the way i can't accept the christmas gift you sent me in december.
Sheila, I am so so sorry about the rotten caregiver your mom had. The big A(alzheimers) may have protected her from too much of the stress related to the F******ing jw.

This woman at least needs a talking to, or maybe a letter to the local newspaper about someone trying to force your Mom into a cult?
as a jw i always found it difficult not to accept the fact that our lives weren't mapped out for us.
i believe people we meet in life and things that happen to us are for a reason.
i feel our life and death has been planned already.
No to both. We are merely animals with big brains to ask questions like these. Where we are born is a matter of where our parents are born etc. Our "luck" in life comes from circumstances not god, our unlucky situations are as random.
Chances are that a child born in America will live past their 12 th birthday. Not so in Ethiopia or Sudan. Chances are that a child born in America will not be living w/ both biological parents by their 12th birthday.... go figure.

WooooHoooooo Another transplant. For your sone I just hope he likes sports! He might have some trouble with Texas Speak and the drawl factor, but he'll get real used to that.
Winter? We don't have winter? Clothing is cheaper in Texas..I don't know why? No state income tax (yet). Texans are somewhat closed mouth about opinions, except among friends. People mostly like guns here because all of the criminals already have them.
You'll see long horn catttle which are gorgeous. Learn to wear Ropers and Stetsons. The stock show and rodeo up there is great. Texas food is great. Texans welcome the eccentric. once you're in the state it takes hours to get out!
well, there i was out in front of wal-mart today.
i'm wearing my yellow smock that says "helping the mentally disabled" and "knights of columbus" yep, it's the beginning of that time of year...the time when we pass out tootsie rolls and accept donations giving the money to the mentally hanidcapped.. anyhow, the way our group does it...we offer the tootsie roll to anyone that wants one...even if they don't choose to make a donation.... you wouldn't believe how many people just could not believe that we would actually just give them a tootsie roll without them giving us a donation...one guy just walked away and says "there's gotta be a catch" it took me three minutes to explain to this one woman that regardless of whether or not she gave a donation i would still give her a tootsie roll, even if she told me in advance that she wasn't going to give me a donation.
i guess people really aren't used to getting something for nothing.. sure, it's my hope that after giving them a tootsie roll they'll give a donation...but the other motive is just to get them the tootsie roll that also has the "knights of columbus" name on the wrapper (specially printed for the knights).
Yeru, Good for you . My Girl Scouts will be collecting for Project Undercover. Also in front of WalMart. We collect underwear, diapers, socks etc for kids in foster care in our county. There is absolutely nothing in the world like really helping people with daily needs. Keep up the good work. Panda

Yeru, Thanks for the positive news. Last night on Fox news two ret. military officers had just returned from Iraq. Greta VanSustern said they'd just gotten off the plane . They were enthusiastic about what they saw, and the people they spoke with in Iraq. The people are very glad SH is gone. The infrastructure in the north is restored but needs improvement since the previous gov't shared nothing --- nothing with the people. In the south the coalition is having difficulty re-establishing the grid, but the point is that this project too will be successfully completed.
They showed some film and that film included men who miss SH. Imagine showing 2 sides of the coin and not one. Imagine giving your opposition a chance to speak. WHy because in America everyone gets to speak their mind and not get tortured for it.
Politicians make me sick. Most are men who have never had a real job. Swimmer Kenedy needs to quit reading polls and start caring about individuals ... oh wait if he did that, a certain family might still have their daughter alive. We need to support the young Americans in Iraq and Afganistan. They are at the fore front of establishing a free society with 2 sides debating issues of their nation. Imagine America not as the only free nation but one of many.
