TEC - your last comment about Jesus and his charge to preach and trying to reconcile it with other passages of bible, and the point of this thread are as clear as mud; additionally, from how how I see it, it really doesn't defend the inexcusable actions of god passing bloodguilt off for for the sins of neighbors. As I pointed out earlier human courts imperfect as they are would not charge you with a crime your neighbor commits. So I guess his timeless principals aren't so timely after all.

Ahhh, but you're forgetting that although evolution (slow gradual change) isn't Biblically supported, the goats are given a chance to magically transform themselves INTO sheep, thru their sheer will-power, alone!

as a jw, i read all the publications and tried to understand all "theocratic" watchtower policy.. i read 3 newspapers a day and rarely read a book or magazine, other than wt.
stuff.. i read the bible a number of times and still find it a good read.. i love to read the internet news as well as the cherished drudge report.. what's your favorite read??.

This is not an exclusive watchtower teaching, it’s pretty much what the bible says in several places.
As for the 'guilt', did you understand the example I gave about social responsibility? How if you KNOW (God told you and told you to warn them of the consequences) that someone is heading down a path that will bring them and others harm, and you say nothing to warn them, that you bear some responsibility for what comes.

That is great, seems like the intervention aspect of that law could get messy to parse out in court, and given the political climate it will be interesting to see they will attempt to overturn that law, let's hope not.
