I get what your saying about the camp ( a.k.a. holy city ) is like a DMZ line that Satan and his forces are not allowed to cross. A city of refuge as it were; however I haven't seen anything that says there won't be another test of loyalty. Just the fact that Satan is loosed again is a test for all intelligent creation in and of itself. Those who choose to remain loyal to God can have safety in the holy city/camp but that doesn't mean that they are not tested.

As you quoted, the bible says that there is a first resurrection, which implies that would be more following that. Back to my point...If one lives their course on earth faithful until their death and then is resurrected in a subsequent resurrection; than that individual would in fact be in line for a second testing to my original point.

Only that those who are of the first ressurection cannot be destroyed and are immortal, and it is my understanding that they are in heaven where Satan is banished from so Satan has no direct access to them. I don't think that means that they cannot still be influenced though.

Whatever the case; the fact that this is God's plan after the 1000 years after all the misery that he allowed mankind to go through over the ages is questionable at best. He doesn't want anyone to exist that doesn't agree with him. I don't believe someone who holds you accountable for what your ancestor did and demands worship while holding your life hostage deserves it.

People worship God because some good will come of it.

How much good has come of it, really? Worshippers of God inevetably group together and form religions where they believe they are the only ones with divine backing, and what good has come from that in the long run? Mindcontrol, repression of women, child abuse, crusades, holy wars, Jihads, terrorism, racism on and on it goes.

Do not interpretations belong to God?

Why would God have to interpret his own word? I thought that was our job to live in confusion, be divided and have war over what he really meant for mellenia. Maybe it's time for a call from the high command to straighten this mess out. You think? It just seems to me if this is the best communication the all powerful being of the universe can come up with, it calls into question a lot.

I do nothing out of fear of consequences (other than fear of disapointing someone I love); nor out of expectation of reward. Rather, out of love for God, shown to me through Christ.

(Hypothetical) So if you knew for an absolute certianty that there was no afterlife to look forward to; no heavenly or earthly reward; could you honesty say that you would toil your whole life in sacrifice, carrying your torture stake of Christian life (a hard life of self denial according to scripture) as Jesus commanded for a result of non-existence? Nobody does anything unless they are going to get something in return...I think their was Seinfeld episode about that wasn't there?

No, that is a WT explanation.

Those within that 'camp' do not get tested again.

WTS explanation or not...the text is right there in the bible plain as day, what evidence do you have to support that their is a separate camp that won't be affected by Satan's release?

LOL - No Drew, I quoted texts from the bible, these can't simply be explained away as WTS interpretation problems. If any Christian denomination were to ignore these and the many other texts that support this they would be guilty of complete and abject dishonesty. I can quote more if you like.

So you want to argue what your interpretation is of this term. What iof u are wrong? Do u want a discussion based on conjecture?

Did you ever consider what if the parties that started by castigating this whole incident as racism are wrong? They made the claim, the burden of proof rests on them to back it up. What have they offered other than conjecture? What hard evidence have you or any that share your view of this offered, other than biased conjecture? You're supporting the claim so back it up with something other than conjecture.

Does anyone really worship God because he deserves it? To me it seems like they only do it because they are afraid of the consequences, or they have something to gain by doing so (e.g. prospect of everlasting life).

Even those that remain loyal to God...they have the joy of going through all of this again after the 1000 years. I guess that speaks to the fact that God really doesn't believe those that are loyal to him the first time through. He really deserves worship doesn't he?

Now as soon as the thousand years have been ended, Satan will be let loose out of his prison, 8 and he will go out to mislead those nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Ma′gog, to gather them together for the war. The number of these is as the sand of the sea. - Rev 20:7-8

The thought that you have this all powerful being who has nothing better to do then to spy on his specs of creation (humans) in a vast expanse and record and judge every thought we have, and decision that we make, to me is a very terrifying prospect. I could not possibly worship that for all eternity. The issue is and always will be freedom, this is the most likely reason why a1/3 of the angels left heaven because they probably could not stand the controlling tyranny any longer IMHO.

4 For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but powerful by God for overturning strongly entrenched things. 5 For we are overturning reasonings and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God; and we are bringing every thought into captivity to make it obedient to the Christ; 6 and we are holding ourselves in readiness to inflict punishment for every disobedience, as soon as YOUR own obedience has been fully carried out. - 2 Cor 10:4-6

If that is not tyranny I don't know what is.

Jesus was a Jew; and he quoted from many texts in the OT, in fact he stated certain OT texts were fullfilled in him, so Christianity and the OT are inseparable IMHO.
