how long does it take for the elder's to respond to a letter of reinstatement?
is there a time range?.
Your right Terry my old congs elders have an axe to grind with me still and they knocked me back lastnight ( of course they didnt have the courage to tell me to my face just that they would write to the elders in my new cong their decision.Their book says if the arnt reinstating then dont tell the person to avoid frustration(agro scene))

The "Shepherd Book"( actually "mind Control" for Dummies v2.0) says they are to respond promptly to a letter requesting reinstatement.
Now "promptly"is open to interpretation.
My first letter took and each subsequent one has taken 2 weeks before they would meet with me.
They are also warned to be suspiciuos of the motives of a person seeking re-instatment ( why do they want to come back to this BS?)

1. name of public talk and speaker for sunday.
2. synopsis of all the parts that are coming up on the rest of the service meeting.

for those who want to keep up with the "pure language", i found out this week that at the most recent elder's school, they were told that the announcements should no longer include the following:.

Guys the thing to remember is that the WTS is on the move and shit like this is clear evidence that its streamlining the whole racket organization to be ready for the Great Day which is almost on us!
Same deal with dropping the Book study, it was done to streamline the information dissemination and lighten the load on the bro and sisters. ( what it really was a reaction to worldwide attendance averaging half for the book study).

the governing body of jehovah's witnesses has decided (oct., 2000) that the positions of president, vice president, secretary-treasurer, etc.
in the legal corporations (e.g., watch tower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, watchtower bible and tract society of new york, inc.,) do not have to be filled by anointed brothers.
therefore, all of the brothers that were currently holding these positions, all of whom were on the governing body, have resigned.
Interesting the official legal positions are no longer held by GB members. Think the WTS learnt a lesson back in WW1 when the got locked up for what was said in WT and books?
If legal issues raised over whats in print then they(GB) are not going to be arrested etc.
Same deal with "Christian Association of JW" that owns the kingdom halls in each country ( where laws make it relevant) so that if WTS is attacked legally or banned then the KH are not legally connected to WTS.
The old line "we(GB) do not credit anyone with authoring a article (obv Life stories do) to bring undue honour to them " doesnt wash anymore its to provide annonimity to GB and now the President of the WTS will ultimetly wear the can for whats written in the mags. Real nice
