  this is a sugestion i have to all members of this board ,members from all over the world, to let the victorian government in australia know that the world is concerned about protecting the children of victoria ,and theirby setting a precedent for the rest of the world, who are interested in the outcome of the criminal charges against the religion of jehovah`s witnesses in refusing to abide by the legislation to get "working with children checks"when required to do so.correct me if i`m wrong but i think if all of us sent letters to the newspapers here in australia ,the different members of parliment here,we would demonstate that the victorian judicial system here is under scrutiny to do the right thing in the eyes of the world.. we all complain that the wtb&ts/jehovahs witnesses is a cult religion that sucks,destroying family relationships,here is a chance to do something about it.

  whether you agree with steven unthank or not,here is an opportunity to stick up for the children of jehovah`s witnesses and every other child that a witness calls on in their door to door ministry.. what do you think ?.

  Thx Abiblestudent im only saying my opinion here but for anyone outside Australia i would suggest taking the approach of commending the State of Victoria for having the Working with Children Act 2005. State the real protection this law can mean for innocent children and how you support the Law and would like your country/state to enact similar laws.

  Now express your concern that the WTS in Australia has ignored this law and children have been sexually abused since that law was enacted.Encourage the member of parliment to take an interest in the upcoming court case on 21st Feb2012 in the Latrobe Magistrates Court. Your not asking them to intervine (because they cant etc) just to be aware that a religion /org in Victoria has ignored the Law to protect children.

  Word it however you like, as a concerned parent, concerned member of that religion, interest in protecting children.

  If you go to the web link for the Vic Parliment( posted previously ) you can get all their email addresses. Every contact is an opportunity to raise awareness.Remember politicians are not too concerned with losing the vote of JW's.

  Please do what you can for the protection of children.

  I really hope as many of you as can support this effort to raise awarness of the coming court case in Feb 2012.

  Ive written my own letter to send and have gotten ready to post 60 out of the 128.

  The WTS deserves to be scrutinized by the Government and the law over child protection.

  Please do what you can even if its just email.

  Theres so much effort intellectualy to squabble over definitions of bible verse.How about chanelling that energy into protecting the innocent children who may be saved molestation if the law in Victoria is enforced.

  Please consider helping.

  I can carry alot of shit into the wilderness for you as Azazel but it would be nice to have company too.

  The Watchtowers mission statement....changed ??when??

  seems to me that years ago the wt's mission statement inside the front cover of the magazine mentioned that when donations cease, it would be recognized that it was time to cease publication of the magazine.

  does anyone else remember this...or am i losing it?

  the satement now has nothing even suggesting such a sentiment, and i was wondering how others re-call it?
