i am so proud of what we have done with sparlock.. youtube is being flooded with videos.

I'm so glad that the Washtowel Society have finally gone completely stupid with the "Caleb" character. The old saying Give them enough rope and they will hang themselves has finally come to fruition . For me the "Sparlock" that was trashed was my Dungeons and Dragons collection and my imagination along with it. If God created magic or allowed it to happen then what the hell is wrong with it? My heart is warmed by the adoption of this poor little toy victim of the Governing Body.

Long live Sparlock and may he be a thorn in their side for as long as possible!

Do you still keep WTS literatures?

i was cleaning my bookshelf earlier this week and got rid of all the wts magazines.

as for the books i haven't decided yet.

well i plan to hold a good old book burning ceremony and torch the lot as i no longer need to hold onto it. Its a false heritage for me to stay attached to these things. Im reclaiming my real heritage before the JW's entered my familys history in the 50's. I bet tho i will see smurfs dancing in the fire when i burn them! lmao

Ever noticed that the WTS goes on and on about Apostates but never addresses the actual issues that would make talking to and reasoning with an apostate a danger to them? They know how frail their doctrines are and can never stand before some diligent critical thinking. Also they never make mention of the other Second Adventist religions that are not so very different than theres. In my opinion the WTS often speaks volumes by its silence on certain issues.

Did You Feel Like A Pest When You Went House To House?

i hated going from door to door.

it was really bad when the neighbors would call each other and say that we had arrived.. what pests we were!.

now, i don't bother anyone if i can help it!

Never once in 40 years can i remember feeling comfortable in door to door field service. I hated intruding upon others with a subject they woudnt want to discuss. The whole door to door thingy is a door to door salesman routine.

Didnt JC tell his disciples to go to the towns market and teach then go when invited to their home?

I would have been more comfortable setting up a stall at the markets and have a sign "Free oecumenical conversations here" and let them come and talk if they want to. That way i could have sat and read a book and counted the time! too easy but no lets piss people off at their homes instead.

My demon experience

one recent afternoon, me and a buddy were taking a trek around a nearby neighborhood and made our way past a delapidated house that had all the familiar symptoms of being haunted.

he suggested we check it out so, of course, we did.

it looked like it had been abandoned probably 30-40 years earlier but the previous owners had left behind a small coffee table.

Since Diablo 3 released im now a level 17 Demon Hunter called Azazel#6674 if any of you happen to play. I do kinda feel sorry for their arses as i blow them away deep in the dungeons. Even as a JW i kinda felt sorry for them making 1 mistake then paying for it forever. Bit harsh dont you think?

i just checked my "topics posted by smiddy"page and the last six entrants are" smiddy" nobody has commented after me,and the posts are from a couple of days ago, to over a year ago.should i be worried ?

i`ve never been shunned this much since i was a jehovah`s witness !

You know smiddy i find this forum a real site for therapy to get over being a JW . But like all therapies its not needed forever and in a way its kinda good to see people not needing the contact here as much ( not because they dont like the company here but their lives are moving on) the therapy is working. I woudnt take it personally smiddy its not directed at you.

For me personally ive switched to facebook as a social connection because i have convinced myself of the falseness of the JW cult and i no longer need to discuss it anymore. My girlfriend is very understanding and i have my moments of debriefing over my jw experiences with her and she knows how to make me feel better .

Im ready to have a winter bonfire and put to flame anything i have that has a connection with the Watchtower and then my life will be normal.

My bucket list has been ticking off at a great rate these days.

Donated blood. Smoked some dope. Smoked cigars. Enjoyed guilt free sexual relations. Birthday parties. Easter eggs. Working on more :)

Dont worry smiddy i find your posts interesting but i just dont have something to say most times.

Old Light,New Light,A Witness Board Game

this is silly,but i thought of a witness board game version of monopoly.

the big difference would be how the players would move on the board.. if they pick up an "old light" card,they move backwards,a "new light" card forward to different levels of ms,elder,etc.

they could buy and sell watchtower properties along the way.

One for the lurkers, how sure are you that the JWs are right?

got to pondering on the drive home tonight about some stuff i will say to my son, who at this time is thinking about whether to stay with jws or not.. two babies are born, by chance even on the same day.

one is raised a jw the other as no particular religion at all.

time passes and they stay with their respective upbringings into the late teens.. kid 1 (no religion) gets into normal teenage strife, sleeps around, does a bit of dodgy shit along the way while kid 2 (jw) is pretty much a good jw kid, keeps his nose clean and pleases mummy and the elders a lot but is not baptized.. one rainy night they are both in a freak head on crash with each other and both die.. which one has the better hope?
