Miraculous news about my daugher, Ali
by coffee_black init's a little over a year since my daughter was diagnosed with end stage congestive heart failure due to a virus.
her dr. was talking heart transplant then.. i almost lost her 3 times over the past year due to complications.
2011 was a tough year to put it mildly.

Febuary 21 2012 We could make a difference,if we want to. A World Wide Campaign sending letters to Govt. officials,newspapers, to Victoria Australia
by smiddy inthis is a sugestion i have to all members of this board ,members from all over the world, to let the victorian government in australia know that the world is concerned about protecting the children of victoria ,and theirby setting a precedent for the rest of the world, who are interested in the outcome of the criminal charges against the religion of jehovah`s witnesses in refusing to abide by the legislation to get "working with children checks"when required to do so.correct me if i`m wrong but i think if all of us sent letters to the newspapers here in australia ,the different members of parliment here,we would demonstate that the victorian judicial system here is under scrutiny to do the right thing in the eyes of the world.. we all complain that the wtb&ts/jehovahs witnesses is a cult religion that sucks,destroying family relationships,here is a chance to do something about it.
whether you agree with steven unthank or not,here is an opportunity to stick up for the children of jehovah`s witnesses and every other child that a witness calls on in their door to door ministry.. what do you think ?.

Donna Petrovich MP - appreciated me raising the subject with her and will follow it.
Colin Brooks MP- thanked me for raising the subject of this test of Working with Children Act 2005. He has written a letter of concern to both the Victorian Attorney General and the Minister for Children and forwarded my letter to both.
So far so good hopefully all members of the Victorian Parliment will know of the Court case testing a good child protection law. Negative publicity for the WTS im not sure? But it doesnt really matter, its just important that they cant just try and sneak it. I trust that Steven has thought well ahead and has a publicity strategy ready to go once the case gets to court.
In Sydney there is an Exclusive Bretherin Convention which of course is out of bounds for any none Bretherins. A Current Affairs tv program tried to interview some of them with no success.My view Who Cares! anyway Senator Nick Xenophon was interviewed and stated such a high control religion should not be receiving tax payer subsidies as they do not allow free choice for the children in regards to religion. Hope Nick takes an interest in the court case of JWs. He is aware of it.It would be great if he forms a Senate investigation into JW and child protection issues.

On a scale of 1 to You i always rated myself low 1. What else were we expected to feel? Yes Christians dont celebrate birthdays Yahde yahde but to a little child that equates to everyone else in class is special and has a birthday while I (jw) just feel dejected and distant and sub conciously felt of little or low worth. My mind doctor asked me once to express my whole childhood in one word and it took a fraction of a second to reply "Ambivalence" Explains some things.....hmmm.

Thanks BP it was all i wanted. I know they cannot get involved in the case( i woudnt want them too) but the fact that they are aware that the WTS has allegedly breached the law in Victoria.
For the current and past victims of sexual abuse within the congregations please know this was the best i could do from here.

Well folks i posted a letter to all sitting members of the Victorian Parliment last week ( 128 in total ). The first replies have started arriving.
Christine Fyffe MP- The Deputy speaker thanked me for my letter and had forwarded it to the Victorian Attorney General for review. (Ok respose )
Phillip Davis MP - Thanked me for my letter and raising my concerns with him.
He stated that he was unaware of this test of the child safety law and will be interested in the outcome of the court proceedings.
So that is all i hoped for my letters to achieve. Just to raise their awarness that the Law is being tested in court this month and the involvement of the WTS of Australia.Will see if others reply.

There is such a broadness of "special". Which are JWs?
Special because they alone have an OT Gods name and an expression "witnesses" from that text as their name alone. I remember a smart arse at the door when i said to him i was a JW he said what did you see him do? lol NOW.
Special because they are the only "Christian" religion on earth that doesnt worship Jesus as we were meant to. (My Opinion)
Special because they are the target of the worlds attention! ive met 30 year olds who had never heard of JW in Australia.
Special because they are holier than tho?
Special because the GB tell them that the GB are special and should be worshipped - oops! i mean worship Jehovah.( When you read WTS material just substitute "Jehovah" with GB because thats what alot of their material is really talking about.)
Or just plain special like in a bottle at a University because they had two heads!
