After 2000 years since JC was executed ,why have we heard not a whisper from GOD ALMIGHTY ?

he/she had no problem talking to adam and eve ,though they were sinners in his/her sight .throughout the hebrew sriptures, ot, he /she had no problem communicating with fallen man ,imperfect humans , to dictate his will to his subjects by means of prophets , male and female ,according to the bible , the old testament ,the hebrew scriptures , god communicated not once ,not twice ,not even thrice ,but dozens of times during the first 4000 years of human history according to the bible.. why has this god been so silent these past 2000 years ,when their have been atrocities above the scale of anything that has ever been seen these past 6000 years of human existence .. oh you may say that the atrocities were not committed by god they were committed by man.

fair enough .but god intervened in human affairs in such smaller infringements.

with prophets or so the bible says.. the so called apostacy after the last of the apostles , the influence of satan in the world ,( or was that after 1914 ,) and the 2000 year gap when christ was supposed to return ,never mind about all the crap that went before it .. the fact remains we have never heard from god ,any god, or even" a " god, with either his/her approval or disapproval of events good or bad these past 2000 years... smiddy.

Yes - clearly. What possible reason is there for God to play this mind game with mankind, where he expects all to believe in him while refusing to give clear evidence that he exists and is real? Certainly it wouldn't take much for the creator of the entire universe to move his little finger and in an instant, provide undeniable and unsurmountable evidence that he exists. In this manner, he would convert massive amounts of people in a short amount of time. How simple!! Surely easier than making animals fly over oceans to be taken to an wooden ark.

Instead he insists on teasing us with fuzzy logic and silence. This is where you differentiate between emotion-based beliefs and beliefs which are based on logic, facts and common sense. Clearly the God of the bible doesn't pass the test on the latter.

a good friend of mine invited me to a party after her meeting on sunday.

i told her i was not going any longer and she doesn't care.

she also let us know that no other witnesses would be there.

I hate that you left, although i know you wanted to be the better person. However if HE is not confortable, then HE should have left. Fux him!!

I am going to be in the same situation in a few weeks only much worse. A good friend of the family is dying of cancer and i will have to go to the funeral. Logically i will be confronted with hundreds of JWs i know and although i'm only inactive, i wonder how many will shun me.

Interesting experience while protesting at district conventions

for three weekends this summer, a friend and i protested outside district assemblies being held in the tucson convention center.

our approach was very low key and completely non-confrontational: we just held our posters and smiled.

this was our experience at the first two assemblies (for the third assembly, see the next paragraph).

Absolutely. Every single JW that passes by will glance at you and your signs but will not stop or stare as to not be criticized, so the message has be something that can be read in about half a second. Jwfact.com is a great short ad, because it is easy to remember and make people curious.

Witnesses cannot refute the real "TRUTH"

no matter what any pompass ass witness says about the religion being the "truth", they cannot refute the simple fact that nothing they have ever predicted has come true.

that's a pretty poor record for gods' chosen people.

oh sure they can point to lame obvious things such as " critical times getting harder to deal with" (even that is debatable), but no hard facts to point to that show they are right, or have ever been.

Why would Jehovah allow His organization to be so inconsistent and so full of flaws and holes in it's doctrine? Surely His goal is to have all humans believe that HIS organization is the most credible in the world!!

I know that if i, a human, was the leader of an organization, i would do everything in my power to make it credible, truthful and believeable. What possible reason is there for the all-powerful creator of the universe not doing the same in view of the fact that his desire is to have all humans join this brotherhood?

Certainly then, Jehovah has no basis for judging humans for not being a part of a brotherhood, which He refused to put any effort into... ;)

Proof of Noah's Flood - Presently watching a Documentary about Europe & the Ice Age

first time i ever heard anyone say there was 'proof' of noah's flood.. very interesting,.

showed a trawler, where the team dredges regularly in the north sea - for animal bones, massive land animal bones, mammoths.. he said, originally, the bones were sent for analysis, and the dr stated, they were proof of noah's flood.. the north sea area was a land mass of dry grazing lands.

and it was very similar to africa.. many bones were found in london, of lions, hippos, etc ... when they were digging out the underground.. .

If we consider the logistical implications of saying this really happened, how can this possibly be believable?

Let's say there are about 30000 species of land animals, and we'll include birds as well. Double that and we have 60000. So 60000 animals in one ark??? But ok, let's pretend for a minute that they were.

Now Noah was inside the ark for about 1 year. Where did he get the food to feed 60000 animals for one year, especially since many of these animals eat very region specific things?? did the animals pack a lunch box and bring it with them? How did 8 people feed 60000 animals on a daily basis? Did they also clean the stalls/cages of 60000 animals?

How was it possible to make animals which are not able to co-exist peacefully in the wild, to somehow be amicable in such a confined space for 1 year?

How did animals which are native to the americas, australia, north pole, hawaii, etc get to the middle east? did they fly? Did they grow wings temporarily? How about all the other animals? did they walk thousands upon thousands of miles?

How about insects? They can't fly for a year....so does that mean all species of insects were in the ark? Since there were no plants, who fed the insects and with what?

Also, since all land mass was under water for a year, all trees and plants died. Did God create all plants again from scratch, and go around planting them again? Certainly we are not saying that plants walked to the ark as well, are we? Or did they fly as well??

Where did this water go? Water doesn't just disappear even if it evaporates...

There are so many issues with this story and these are only a few that jump to mind right away.

Now, we can go around using all-encompassing excuse of " Well God performed miracles to resolve all those issues". But even that makes no sense.

Why would God disturb the planet in this manner and kill millions of animals and plants, destroy entire ecosystems, make animals fly over oceans, etc etc etc, when all he needed to do is send an angel to earth and kill all humans existing at that time, except those 8?

as most of us know, the society is spending 10's of millions of dollars on a giant, state of the art, secluded bunker country club headquarters in very remote, isolated warwick ny.. the question that "some" have is, why?

if armageddon is coming "very soon", why go to all that time & effort & expense?

why have thousands of jws dedicating their time to this massive effort instead of the "lifesaving ministry"?.

Right, you know... In the same manner that Jehovah told Noah to build an Ark, while Noah was not aware of what God's plan was. Perhaps they will build a zoo in there and start importing animals from all over the world.

My sister almost died.

ever since i was a little boy i've been aware of this vague story about my older sister having some issues at birth, but never knew the details.. yesterday i was having a conversation with a much older cousin, who is a non-practicing jw about different watchtower issues.

while discussing the blood issue she totally came out with the story about my sister, which i never knew before.. when my sister was born some 40 years ago, my mother had the delivery at home with the help of a midwife.

i'm not entirely sure why this decision was made instead of going to a hospital.

Is this not good for your sister to know?

Perhaps, but to be honest i'm not entirely sure what my sister's reaction would be. It can't be a good feeling to know your mother was willing to let you die. Some things are better left untold.

Yesterday i was having a conversation with a much older cousin, who is a non-practicing JW about different Watchtower issues. While discussing the blood issue she totally came out with the story about my sister, which i never knew before.

When my sister was born some 40 years ago, my mother had the delivery at home with the help of a midwife. I'm not entirely sure why this decision was made instead of going to a hospital. In any cause, when she was born there were complications and a doctor was called. Apparently there was a condition where her red blood cells were being destroyed by some of my mother's antibodies which somehow travelled through he placenta. To be saved, she needed a transfusion of more red blood cells

My mother, already a JW refused to take her to the hospital to receive this treatment and as disturbing as it sounds, although terribly distraught was willing to let my sister pass away to hold on to her faith. I was told several sisters were present and likely increased the pressure of the situation.

Incredibly, one of my uncles had enough bravery to physically kidnap my sister, remove her from the house and take her to the hospital where her life was saved by a blood transfusion. I believe my sister knows nothing of this, and i will not tell her either.

I share this to illustrate the grasp that this cult has on so many lives yet today and the harm it continues to cause.

"Abstain from blood" reasoning

most of the scriptures pertaining to the use of blood are straight forward.

"do not eat blood.

at acts 15 it uses the words "abstain from...".

Interestingly, a few days ago a friend of mine had a baby. This friend although still a JW along with his wife, rarely goes to meetings or actively practices the religion.

Now, his wife had complications during the delivery and lost a lot of blood. The doctors wanted to give her a transfusion, which she declined. The doctors, understandably baffled, practically yelled at her and told her that there was a good chance she would die and that her newborn would grow up without a mother. She insisted that she would not take one. My friend didn't speak too much on what his role was on all this, but i'm imagining he hesitantly supported her.

In any case, she ended up making it, although it is taking her extra days of hospital stay to recover (despite what JWs say about bloodless surgeries having quick recoveries). Also it seems that they might have to remove her uterus, because of the inneficient blood supply.

Considering they are barely practicing, i found it interesting that the indocrination that they were exposed to at an early age was strong enough to make them give up their life to obey an organization they barely are part of.

Stuff You Would Lose If You Went Back

so we know all the things the wts prevents us from doing, but that's much, much different than the stuff we've grown accustomed to.. for those who have been out for a number of years, what kind of things would end up being abandoned if you suddenly started going back to the kingdom hall?

you know, stuff that you now do on the nights you used to attend meetings, the things you own, the things you wear, etc..

There is such joy in my life knowing that when i leave work on tuesdays and thursdays, i know i'm going home to have a nice meal and entertain myself doing whatever i want without worrying about eating quickly and putting the monkey suit on, to go sit at a useless meeting.

There are very few things that i hated more than getting up early on Sundays to go sell magazines to strangers for free and get door slammed in my face. Waking up on sunday and thinking "i can just stay in bed" is priceless.

Yes i miss some of the people, but i'm not about to sell my brain to be able to associate with them.
