I just don't see this happening. Especially these days when a lot of JWs are slowly waking up due to the internet information. They surely recognize this, and will try to isolate any danger as quickly as possible.

Prediction: The organization to ease up on disfellowshipping for apostasy.
by kneehighmiah ini believe the organization is already easing up on disfellowshipping people for apostasy.
they know most doubters just want to be left alone.
disfellowshipping them turns them into martyrs.

If the organization is all about money.....
by Pete Zahut inthen why would they be so insistent about dfing people ?
if it's money the watchtower org is after, it seems like they'd want to hold on to all the members they can.. how would you answer this logic?.

This makes as much sense as wondering why Fidel Castro arrested and executed political critics, doesn't he want them to be out in the population working in order to collect taxes from them?

Full-time service is MORE IMPORTANT than taking care of elderly parents!!! It says so in the Sept 2014 WT
by EndofMysteries inparagraph 20 out of the article in the sept 2014 study wt about fulltime service says this.... .
"full-time servants age, and so do their parents.
when parents are witnesses, likely their fondest wish is for their children to stay in their assignments.

Have the writers of this drivel stopped to consider for one second what kind of 'witness' this is giving to the outside world? These poor elderly parents are being left to the mercy of members of their congregation to care for their needs because their own flesh and blood need to carry on knocking doors peddling WT literatrash as this is far more important!
Why is this important? Don't you know that there are million of homeowners waiting to line their birdcages with Watchtower magazine pages? Don't worry about the old ones, they will be brought back to life in pariah-dice.;)
I like the fact that they call this " the most important work the world has ever known." Imagine that, not cancer research, not humanitarian work, but instead an army of people who drive and walk around all day dropping useless pamphlets that nobody reads. What a colossal waste of time.

I got my mother to say animals evolved !
by cookiemaster ini wanted to share with you guys the argument i had today with my mother.
i've been away last week in a far away city for my college exams.
i've been staying at a friend, a jw who, just like me, is actually an atheist and doesn't believe a word the wt says and knows it's a bullshit cult but because of his family and friends he still stays in.
-
redvip2000
Jehovah's Witnesses teach that micro-evolution happens (animals gradually evolving) but not macro-evolution (they still stay in their specific "kinds")
It's almost like refusing to believe that you can go from -20F degrees in January to 90F in August, but accepting the idea that there could be slight temperature changes on consecutive days during the year. Stupid.

The problems Bible believers have with Atheists is the burden of proof is on the Believer and we just do not have enough proof.
by booker-t ini recently posted a post telling this board my athesit coworker stumped me with questions about the validity of the ark story and i just cannot stop talking to her.
i love hearing her side and point of view which in the past i would have dismissed as "satanic" thinking.
she has some very good questions and i am having a hard time answering them.

That is all the time I have for now. I must get back to caring for my son.
Well good, that's a good thing. You see, the issue is that at this very moment there are a few dozens of thousands of children dying of starvation in Africa and other places, looking at the sky and wondering why the imaginary man in the sky with a white beard, insists on only providing food to those countries who already have an abundance of it. Perhaps you can pray to your imaginary friend and ask if he is willing to take care of his sons as well.
There are also many animals that have the teeth of a predator but only eat vegetation. Sharp teeth and claws does not always denote "meat-eater.
How interesting that the source you present is of Daniel Criswell, the laughingstock of the biology world. A young earth creationist who has been added to the Encyclopedia of American Loons because of his delusional theories. You have any more sources? Koko the clown maybe?

Most absurd thing I heard at the convention yesterday!
by Batman89 inbrother lett was giving the last talk of the day about what they supposedly accomplished in 100 years.
i was just waking up so im paraphrasing alittle(i was dosing off all day) anyways in his introduction he said.
"there is more evidence to prove gods kingdom on the earth is a reality than wind, electricity and gravity is a reality on the earth".
-
redvip2000
The reasoning in the article is that sincere people get baptized and God only hears sincere prayers. So only God only hears prayers of baptized people.
So when a group of children dying of hunger in Africa look to the sky and ask for a bit of food to come their way, are they not being sincere? Perhaps we can ask them if they see any evidence that God's Kingdom is on earth.
And if God only hears the prayers of JWs, then why aren't JWs praying for these who are dying of starvation? And if they are, why isn't God listening to them?

Bottom line: Our understanding of history is limited. So what exactly happened there we don't know. Was the flood global or regional? Was Australia included or excluded?
Let's entertain the thought for a minute that it was local. So in order to destroy some humans in the area, God decides to flood area above the highest peeks in the region. The highest peek in the region is Mount Damavand about 18 000 ft above sea level. So the water rises to 18000 ft and how does it now flow out of the region? Let me guess.. God build invisible walls to contain the water.
Now if God only killed people in that region for not believing in him, how is that fair when other people in other parts of the planet were allowed to live?

Why does this link through facebook, and not directly to the streaming URL which is displayed on the screen?
Because despite the link text which is displayed on the post, the actual link is pointing to

And isnt this a bit of overkill with the poor animals ? 1Kings,8:62-66
"Twenty-two thousand cattle , and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep , that the King and all the sons of Israel might inaugurate the house of jehovah"
That's nothing. How about killing 99.99% of all animals in the great flood, in order to kill a few humans? What about killing 100% of plants on the planet in the same process?
Now that we are on the subject, why didn't Noah go around collecting plants to be saved in the Ark as well? If Jehoober could fly polar bears over oceans to reach the middle east, couldn't he fly some banana and mango trees to be saved as well?
Yes, surely the Bible makes a lot of sense. Especially the way it explains that before the flood, it had never rained before. But i'm pretty sure that rain forests like the Amazon are only 4000 years old right?

IN THEIR OWN WORDS: The mean-spirit of Russell's sham marriage
by Terry init is commonly known by jehovah's witnesses, the marriage of pastor c.t.russell and his wife maria (moe-rye-uh) was an uneasy one.. the marriage itself was founded on a weird interpretation of "virginity" and "purity" as only an obsessive-compulsive.
puritan fanatic might find agreeable.
the two of them were not to share a bed (or physical relations.).

A convenience marriage. I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually gay.
