According to scientists and archeologists, there is heaps of evidence around the world that show civilizations flourishing on or about the same time the "global" flood took place.
Particularly, the Mayan civilization.
Although I am not a scholar-far from it- it is unreasonable to deny these facts and finds. We can all sit here and say that every find that archeoligists make is tainted by anti-Jw apostates, but that would be rediculous even for the most well intentioned Jdub.
The flood was local; remember these Nephilim (if this is what you believe in) were in a particulararea. Unless they beat Columbus to the "New World" there would be no need to flood the entire globe.
It would be like using 12 cans of roach spray on a single baby roach. Is your God that ilogical?

I just saw a special on the Discovery channel 2 weeks or so ago about the flood and the Ark.
The scientist analyzing all the evidence came to the conclusion that there was a flood but that it came from the red sea spilling over.
They took mini-subs under the sea and disvovered that there were roads and evidence of towns and villages. They also found the place where the sea would have overflowed and why.
The conclusion was that the writer of the passage in the bible knew only his area; he had not traveled the "world" so when he said there was a worldwide flood, to him that was true because his village WAS the world.
It was a very interesting documentary..too bad I didnt take notes.

Although its true that the purchase of these videos is on a donation basis, it is also true that the WTS keeps records of how many videos is sold to each congo. and how much $$ that congo. sent to the WWW fund. If the WT doesnt recieve most of what they spent back, they will notify the congo.....at least thats what they used to do 3-4 years ago when I was running the numbers ( I mean keeping their books!) for my cong.
I remember a cong. in New Jersey got a letter saying that they were ordering to many specialized items and that the WT did not recieve enough from them in WWW funds.
So the WT just sent them a bill for over 2 grand!
So, it could be also that they need $$, I wouldnt put it past them

11 show on last night, and most of it was the same ol' same ol'---but something did catch my attention.. video was being shown of people evacuating lower manhattan, and the brooklyn bridge was filled to capacity with people.. the voice over says, "people fled every way they could--they streamed across the bridge to brooklyn.".
now, i'm wondering, if you had just left ground zero and you were one of the ones runningon the bridge--and you saw a big sign that said--.

Talking about the Brooklyn Bridge, there was a 911 call placed about 1hr an a 1/2 ago about a jumper.
Sure enough there he was a "floater" as they're known once they die and float upriver.
There was an empty bottle of wine and some of his clothes on the ledge.
I wonder if he jumped looking at the WT building and thinking how they never ever did anything for him.

No you are not obligated to get out of their way. First of all its illegal for them to have lights and sirens in their vehicles. Most of them get away with it because they belong to a "volunteer ambulance corps". This is the "police force" you see. They have all their permits for their "ambluance corps" so we really cant get in their way unless they decide to pull people over and play cops.
The jews in NYC they care of themselves and its no question that they control the city.
As a matter fo fact, there was even a special response team created within the NYPD call "HOW".
The precints with jewish communities get one. For example in washington heights their call name is "3-4 HOW"
Meaning House Of Worship. This is s special task force that although takes regular calls, are first to respond to any threat made to a local jewish church!
Now how unfair is that? Every other religion is screwed exepct them.
