Yeru:
In your professional opinion, do you believe that an ex-suicidal person can get over learning the truth about the deceptions of the WT or of any religion for that matter.
In other words survive that episode twice? Whats the likelyhood?
i was left an awake mag.
(oct. 22, 2001) on my desk last night.
if it got there accidentally or on purpose i dont know.

I was left an Awake mag. (Oct. 22, 2001) On my desk last night. If it got there accidentally or on purpose I don’t know. But going through the articles brought that sick feeling to my stomach again, you guys have probably seen this mag. already, but here’s why:
First of it has an elaborate article on suicide. Now we all know that this has been an increasing problem for those Witnesses who have found out the “truth” of many of the WTs’ dealings. After having served faithfully (like a puppet) for decades they realize that it was for nothing and see their only way out is to kill themselves. Unfortunately we know that’s not the solution. However it gets me sick to see how the WT promotes itself by writing thing like what is found on pag. 11 in the gray box:
“Having a relationship or connecting with Jehovah’s witnesses has helped many people overcome their suicidal thinking”. (Translation from Spanish)
Why not just reading the Bible or having faith in God. Why must it be through JW’s ?
On pag. 10 par. 2 it does say that there are many places that one can turn to for help, but then it says, “There are experts that realize another type of help, religion”
OK
But on the next par. It tells us an “experience” of a guy named Marino who was disabled and wanted to kill himself. It goes on to say that he “FOUND” a WT mag. and followed its instructions regarding allowing JW’s to call on him. He did. Of course everything went happy-go-lucky from there on. I’ m gagging here.
What about on page22? It makes reference to JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association)
Now this was the same magazine that when I wrote to the society about its issues regarding the WTs’ blood policy, I was invited to a Judicial Committee!!
Then on page 26 it shows pics. of the Kingdom hall of the Jw’s in El Salvador. It is very disgusting to know that the WTBTS has millions of dollars and can’t spare a few dollars to make these people a decent place to gather! Look at the pics. It’s ridiculous.
Meanwhile their execs. are out in their leased GM’s and flying to different parts of the world with their healthcare and Ins. paid for by these very people that are in need of a decent hall!
I don't believe you can get any lower.

i just read the comments of australian boxer and muslim anthony mundine.
he says the attack on the wtc on sept. 11th wasn't an act of terrorism, but an act of religion, because of the actions of the united states in history.
apparently, while too cowardly to actually say he approves of the terrorism on the u.s., like so many muslims are cowardly in this regard, he seems to slip in his approval through the back door, as it were.
"Obviously, they couldn't get you in at the clinic this week. You need to get back on the medicaton. "
Now I know for sure you must be between 16 and 25 years of age.
Hardly worth our time.
"You sound like a royal asshole to me. I hope they only allow you to carry a flashlight and not a gun."
Sorry I don't do request: I carry a 9mm smith and wesson. Off duty a walther p99 nine mm.
"I can't believe you missed that point. Not true, I can believe it."
Good boy son, the faster you realize that not everyone is going to hold you hand in life, the faster you can grow up. Now go finish your homework...it's a school night.

First of all dickhaed I have been around the block a few times more than you.
If you ever read any of my answers you will see that I have never "ragged" on anyone's posts.
But since you asked, I shall answer: NO I don't get offended at your comments or your opinions regarding other religions.
I don't offend easily. I simply make observations.
You see people with your temper get others killed. Thats a fact of life. If you can't see that, hey thats your problem.
I survived countless encounters with actual armed enemy troops in foreign lands and now patrolling my "sector" as part of the NYPD.
From what I can gather you'd go to peices in an actual confrontation, thats why people like you lash out when others make observations like ours.
Too bad..you sound smart..but I still wouldn't want you on point..
Don't bother answering I really don't like debates.

Hey DY,
I know your upset, but what six says its true.. You can blow up like a kid or you can do something about it.
My suggestion, (if your really upset about this), Call on your closest Armed Forces recruiter and enlist.
Its the best thing for people that are aggressive and want have people "Fuck off".
Of course you can just give us all the lip service we've been so used to for many years making you a dub prodigy.
If your to old to enlist, then your to old to have those kinds of fits...its better to be cool (pssst....you get more girls that way!)

lets you pray for df'd people in private.
wow, this.
Incredible
don't panic guys, these aren't real pics of the people, just the venue!
pics below:.
this is a view of mt keira.
Don't mean to sound foolish, but what are those UFO's in the first pic?
i'm extremely confused by the answers in some of your posts.
you keep refering to "new light" and have also explained why the wtbts has made errors along the way, even though it has caused the "stumbling" of thousands.
your logic makes sense except for 1 questions that continues to go through my mind.. although all of god's messengers, apostles, disciples, etc.
Lefty said: "I would suggest that you get used to the fact that there is not another organization on earth like that which the WTS oversees, ."
True, the Jw org. is a cold and ruthless one which believe that the only hope for humanity is the destruction of 6 billion people.
Lefty says that today the folks at the WT are not blessed with the presence of Christ or of the apostles. Also true.
But there is something that you need to explain: How did the early christians even after the apostles death understand the Bible clearly but today the WT says you can't do it unless you have a WT or awake to do so?
What, were the early christians wrong? Did they not understand the Bible? So they were lost without the WTBTS?
Would'nt it be logical to think that the closer we were to Jesus's time the clearer the message would have been, than to think that now after 2 thousand years we can understand what he actually meant only if we study with the WTBTS?
The JW's are so far from the meaning of the actual message that by trying to be maticulous in their interpretations, they actually blunder more than they see.
They have just as many traditions as the Jewish community but yet judge them to destruction.
Jw's HAVE to have 3 conventions a year. If you don't go, then your spiritually weak. You HAVE to go to 5 meetings a week.
You HAVE to go out on service and preach the WTBTS message (not the early christians message which is clearly in the Bible).
You HAVE to shave your beard, dress a certain way, talk a certain way, have a job that cries out "Im a humble JW!", can't wear a dress over your knees, wear to much make-up( the amount varies from Congo. to congo.), no parties past 11:30, can't wear a mixed suit to give a public talk, etc,etc,etc....
Of course you can't question any belief which is "unique" to JW or you will get ousted.
And there are many, many more stupid rules and regulations. Bethelites have a whole book of rules and regs.
Point is Lefty that your dear org. is made up of nothing more than rules that have nothing to do with Bible principles and never will.
Thats he kind of org that you belong to and are yoked down to. Us we followed Jesus advice and got ourselves unyoked, never to be yoked down again.
Damn I feel good!

a circuit overseer, jarome sexton, ma circuit #4 is telling the congregations "the brothers were at ground zero", reading scriptures to firefighters and military personal and they would cry as they heard the words.
"as people ran across the bridge what did they see ' read gods word daily' ".
the dam doors were locked!
Preston:
1) You can help only if you belong to the construction company that has been hired to remove the debris and are properly accounted for and ID'd. or if you belong to some type of rescue org. firefighter, police officer and even like that you must be on the list of crews that are going in.
2)Don't know about no marine office. I do know about the chelsea piers which was being used as a triage center. It's about 2 1/2 miles north.
3)Yes. No volunteer " off the street" have been used since about 2 weeks after the attack. Only if you are a properly Id'd steel worker or heavy construction worker will they accept "walk-in's".
Besides that only those I mentioned in 1.
4)Last time I saw it (about 3 weeks ago)msnbc ran it on their web page. I did not bother to save it.

Just wanted to clarify..
Bush had on agent with him at all times, the rest were close by and around the perimeter and rooftops.
If anyone can get the video footage from CNN you can see his whole trip from when he got off the chopper 'till he got back in his suburban.
You'll see he did not have a Knowledge book with him.
Geez how silly.
