hide ye not, tis too late you wanker,
swallow you not will the floor,
you're buggered at last, thus spake Ivanka".
o what is that sound which so thrills the eardown in the valley drumming, drumming?only the scarlet soldiers, dear, the soldiers coming.o what is that light i see flashing so clearover the distance brightly, brightly?only the sun on their weapons, dear,as they step lightly.o what are they doing with all that gear, what are they doing this morning, morning?only their usual manoeuvres, dear,or perhaps a warning.o why have they left the road down there, why are they suddenly wheeling, wheeling?perhaps a change in their orders, dear, why are you kneeling?o haven't they stopped for the doctor's care, haven't they reined their horses, horses?why, they are none of them wounded, dear, none of these forces.o is it the parson they want, with white hair,is it the parson, is it, is it?no, they are passing his gateway, dear, without a visit.o it must be the farmer that lives so near.it must be the farmer so cunning, so cunning?they have passed the farmyard already, dear, and now they are running.o where are you going?
stay with me here!were the vows you swore deceiving, deceiving?no, i promised to love you, dear, but i must be leaving.o it's broken the lock and splintered the door,o it's the gate where they're turning, turning;their boots are heavy on the floorand their eyes are burning.. - w.h.auden.

a while back, i suggested that an easy, quick, quiet exit with the signing and dating of a concise and irrefutable document would spur faders and pimos to preempt the elders' interference by quitting quietly first , before a fade or a confrontation.
here is the document .

I take all the points made against this strategy, by Jeff T and others, and say, yes, you are right. But what is there to lose by preparing such a document, and presenting it to Numbnuts Elders along with a threat to take Legal Action ?
Both threats have little weight, the Document would be shredded in Court no doubt, and if you threaten Legal Action and they know damn well that you do not have the funds, they could call your Bluff.
But what if it worked ? I do know of a case many years ago where just threatening the Elders with legal action caused them to drop everything, apart from the Rumour Mill , which did their job for them as far as getting the Shunning going was concerned, but you cannot stop that, unless again you are prepared to go to Court to stop slander, well good luck with that !
So at best, all you may achieve is no OFFICIAL action, but that may be all you want !
hello, brothers.
i don't speak english, but i really want to share what i have.
so sorry for mistakes and style.. so, the all detected parallels (exact connections) between the quotes of daniel 11:44-12:7 and revelation 11:2-18 are:.
The Bible is not a single Book. It is a collection of writings from many Centuries by many Writers, all of whom wrote for the people of their own time.
It is not a Book of Prophecy.
Also, to join parts of those writings together which were written Centuries apart is just plain silly.

This is the idea of the Document , as stated in an earlier Post by GFG :
" This proclamation is signed and retained well before a PIMO or fader hits the elders radar.
It is not a letter of DA, nor a letter to the elders, it is a persons' private exercise of their Human Rights.-
freedom of conscience and religion.
Because it's dated and the rights are already claimed, there is no need for elders interference- the date on the document pre-empt their authority over ones privacy and affairs."
The point is, that as you are just an ordinary member of the Public, how can they take any measures against you ? I think this needs to be backed up, when you are forced to present it, with a letter from your Lawyer saying that you will Sue the individual Elders involved if any action is taken, or public Statement made. But, you don't present it until THEY force your hand, by which time you have not been a JW for X amount of time !
i cannot find the verse where it talks about several self appointed men that went behind closed doors to render their decision regarding circumcision.
all i see is that it was the apostles, older men and the congregation that came to a decision.
perfect example of why we need the governing body today.
Verses 22,23 talks about the Apostles and older Men (a Governing Body), rendering a decision.
As has been pointed out in a number of Posts , no way do these verses speak of a Governing Body. If they did, who would they "Govern" ? The various Christian groups were not unified in Doctrine, and were self Governing. The idea promulgated by the JW's of a single body of united Christians who would actually acknowledge governance over them is total nonsense.

It is quite evident from the genuine words of Paul that no such thing existed, yes he did visit the older men in Jerusalem, as a kind of polite way of saying, well I'm preaching to the Gentiles , I thought I would come and say hello. It is evident he did not hold them in any higher esteem than himself. And he did not agree with them on all things.
It is doubtful that anything in Acts 15 took place at all. Acts is mainly a work of fiction, and contradicts a number of things about Paul that he says in his genuine works.
The true situation in the 1st century was that there were a number of groups formed that followed Jesus, or their view of him and his teaching, none of them recognised the remaining Apostles as authorities on Doctrine or Practice. And certainly the mantle did not fall on to someone else as an Apostle died.
There was no Governing Body.
i have a few jw relatives who are true believers.
by this i mean, they believe with all their heart that 1914 was the beginning of the last days, that this is the last generation, that we are in the very last of the last hour of this system of things, and that you should obey the governing body even if it does not make sense.
all of them are in their 60s and up into their 90s there is nothing you can say or show them to convince them or even cause a small doubt that the wt is not god organization.
I have a job to put a figure on this, as some have said, exactly what we all feel is a " true believer" is also problematical, it is so difficult to determine what "doubts" an individual has, and how deep they go.
In my case I was 2nd generation, baptised at 12, served as a regular pioneer for a while, a MS etc in my nearly 60 years in. And yet I never believed ALL of it, I particularly never bought in to the Armageddon ideas they had, or in to, more importantly, the Cult of the Governing Body.
From the outside you would say I was a " true believer", but I was not, not in the way the Governing body would want me to be. I guess what we are trying to measure is " Depth of Delusion".
Those that are sufficiently deluded will follow straight away without question whatever the G.B says and whatever direction they go in. I would take a stab and say that is in fact only about 2 million of them or even fewer than that. The next level kind of tries to believe it all, but doesn't fully, then you have the half awake, then PIMO's, but stuck in , and then those that are really fully awake too, but are not stuck in, just in by choice.
Before long the lower 6 million will start to drift away. 2 million will remain, in a mainly on-line religion. My estimate.
boris johnson is often mocked, but he has recently achieved what former pms thought highly unlikely - boris has gotten the uk a brexit deal, and has got brexit done, keeping his manifesto promise.. well done, boris!
.
Nothing in this bill shows that the Westminster parliament has ‘taken back control’ from Brussels.
This draft bill instead shows that Whitehall – that is, ministers and their departments – has taken control of imposing on the United Kingdom what it agrees with Brussels.
And presumably that was not what Brexit was supposed to be about.

I hope that is all sarcasm ? I don't want to get in to it here, it is boring for people to hear of our Political problems, but I am confident you see the faults in what you said ? and therefore you are joking ?
as a jw teenager in the 60's i took up smoking.
i gave up in my early 20's when my new wife and i decided , mistakenly, that it was a good idea to " make a proper go of da troof".
in all the intervening decades i still enjoyed the smell of a fine cigar.. when i left and became free, i took up smoking again, always fine cigars, and ended up hooked, and smoking ten or more a day.

When I left and became free, I took up smoking again, always fine Cigars, and ended up hooked, and smoking ten or more a day. I gave up, officially, in August of this year, but still allow myself a celebratory Cigar on special occasions. I have just enjoyed my Christmas Cigar, the next will probably be on my Birthday in a few months time.
The last occasion was just as I was waiting to go in to the Chapel for the funeral of a good friend of mine, he was like the brother I never had, and he and I had spent a lot of time together, often smoking, enjoying a drink, and chatting and laughing together. He was a lovely man, loved by hundreds, who would have been at his funeral as well as me, but for Covid, and my Cigar was to commune with his memory.
I feel a great peace, and enjoyment of my true freedom, when I smoke, and feel in tune with so many great souls when I do so.
I do not wish to encourage any to smoke, but, do any of you enjoy things forbidden by JW's, and even some other things condemned by non JW killjoys ?
