  Beth, Punky is in the U.K., as am I. So food available to us was not the same as you got, and vice-versa no doubt.

  In 1965 IIRC, at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, for an "International Assembly" they cooked fresh doughnuts every morning, us lads knew a sister who was cooking 'em, and used to pick up a good few Doughnuts that were still red hot ! (The sister cooking 'em was NOT hot, and married).

  We travelled up there from Kent on a Special train, hired by the Org, all J.W's, us lads had a bet as to how many different young sisters we could snog on the return journey !

  whether you like or loathe the guy, agree or disagree, surely he has a right to express his opinions freely on twitter?.

  every bbc employee who appears on tv or speaks on the radio, should now be paranoid about any opinions they've put on their social media accounts, because if the bbc are prepared to censor/silence lineker, they'll go for anyone.. oops: looks like the bbc can dictate what their staff can & can't say in their social media accounts.. https://www.bbc.co.uk/editorialguidelines/guidance/individual-use-of-social-media.

  pity they weren't as strict with their high profile paedophile, mr. savile..

  I agree that is often the case, but it is difficult to think of an analogy that is more striking than the one Lineker used, about the language of this U.K Government. If you can think of a more striking one, I would be obliged ! I often get tempted to use the rise of Fascism in the 20's and 30's as an example on other Sites when commenting on matters political, but old Godwin speaks in my ear, and I struggle for another.

  Certainly one thing Lineker has done is broken the Media silence against the language of Mind Controlling propaganda.

  Ah Norwich ! went there a couple of times, by car, we had to park the car a little way from the Stadium, a walk along the canal to go get, left the wife and kids , went to get the car, but, Lo and Behold ! a handy Pub right on the towpath ! Phizzy had a crafty pint, before collecting the family, then went out for some more in the evening !

  Got to make the whole thing as pleasant as you can, ain'tcha ?

  I found out after I left the org. some sensible JW's hired a barge and moored next to the Pub as their accommodation !

  cofty could you answer how the single cell came about by chance?.

  i know the argument for complexity in nature says natural selection over billions of years but this could not explain the complexity of the single cell the building blocks of life?.

  I found this an interesting comment on another Site about Abiogenesis :

  " Before DNA was RNA, which serves a similar function but is less stable. Before that there was no life. The RNA came first - it forms spontaneously on basaltic glass. Life started when a bit of self-replicating RNA got caught up in a lipid bubble."

  1975 on the back burner

  “1975” still marks 6000 years from the creation of adam in wt calendar.

  according to “all scriptures inspired” book, there is a gap between the creation of adam and the creation of eve and her marriage to adam.

  it was at that point in time when eve was created that marked the end of the 6th creative day and the beginning of god’s rest, the 7th day as recorded in genesis.

  My aged memory may be faulty, but did they back-track on the 7,000 year long "Creative days" once, and say those days were of indeterminate length, or am I confusing them with something I have read from a slightly more rational source than J W org ?

  As Jeffro rightly points out, it is all nonsense when you look at the literary origin of the Eden Story. And as Jeffro has ably shown many times, the 1914 thing is the most utter, monumental, nonsense.
