That Article is SO good ! it has some phrases in it that I might pinch, and one I had already thought of, describing the J.W beliefs as equivalent to those of "Flat-Earthers".
A really Good Read ! thanks for Posting !

so for those amongst us who celebrate the season .
merry christmas everyone.

Hi Buddy, I left you a P.M on F.B asking if you were still at the same address ? We visited you and family in 2010 ??
I imagine you have moved to at least a Mansion by now ?
I wish to add you guys to my ever lengthening Chrissy card list, so P.M me on here maybe ?
to save y’all the agony of having to sit & watch lett (looking even more puffy and jaundiced than the last time), here is a summary:.
beards are now perfectly fine for anyone & everyone, including ministerial servants, elders, and “special full time servants” (cos and betheliites).. but don’t go and feel “vindicated” — even if you knew you were right about beards, you shouldn’t run ahead of jehovah’s “chariot”.. so there you go.. if you need explicit permission from a puffy steroid addled facial contortionist with an increasingly ridiculous combover to make personal grooming decisions…you might be in a cult .
"Further more, with the passing of time, the governing body have noticed that...... "
By Christ they are quick on the uptake...... NOT !
I pointed this out when I grew a beard in 1975 ! That respected people in responsible positions wore a beard in Europe, and around the World, but the parochial vision of the G.B has only just realised it, nearly 50 years later !
beans ?
( human beans ).
to those of you that believe in god: do you all believe the same thing ?.
This, and much much more, is explained in this wonderful, enlightening Book ! This Book has shown me that the religion of the Israelites/Jews was not hardly any different from the other religions.
buddha of india .
he performed miracles and raised one man, el-azar-us, from the dead.
the sun is the "light of the world.
"Real" they are.... to us, but not necessarily with a basis in fact or reality, if they are only based on Faith or belief.

the sun is the "light of the world.
"we've crossed over into spiritual and mental territory..............."
In other words belief based on faith, which has no basis in fact or reality.

Agreed Tonus, somewhat, there is NO contemporary evidence for a man named "Jesus" who would fit the base figure for the Myths,
Hence why I consider the Thread title to be spot on.

The references to Jesus are all much later than the time he was supposed to have lived, a Century or more, and are only repeating the already established Mythology about him, not reporting historical facts.
I am 100% convinced the Jesus of the Gospels is an entirely a Mythical, Fictional Figure, until I see irrefutable evidence to the contrary.
If there was a man the mythos was based upon, perhaps one living in the later years pre C.E, who was crucified, that is of no relevance to proving the mythical "Jesus".
As the Thread Title says, rightly, Jesus never existed !
can't find any references, so you'll just have to trust me on this one.
i remember, probably at least two decades ago, a small news snippet about someone was going around brooklyn heights and setting fire to christmas wreaths on people's doors.
i've always personally suspected* that it was a bored/semi-insane bethelite.
I always loved Christmas, the family all came to my place, some travelling from overseas to be with us, we had a big traditional Christmas Dinner, and plenty of Booze !
A good number of J.W's that I knew had the "substitute Christmas", presents on another day, I always saw that as slightly hypocritical then, but would not view it that way now of course !
In recent years we have done the full thing, well almost, but big presents for the grandkids, decorations, and even, Shock Horror, a Tree , a bloody great big real one, one year.
