  Forget 1914, the 1975 generation are now passing away!

  we still have quite a few elderly here that came in as young families in the late 1960's-early 70's because soon, yes very soon they would enter the new system and never grow old.

  it's now one year away from 50 years since 1975. just in the last couple years i've seen them come down with alzheimer's, cancer, brain tumors, becoming invalid etc.

  the children of them that are now around 60 are just so distraught at seeing their parents deteriorate.

  Nobody escapes death eventually, most of us don't escape Taxes either, the G.B and their business do !

  The 1975 generation is now on borrowed time, lets hope the G.B are too !

  Not just for death, but Taxes too !

  There isn't ONE ! they have printed a few predictions they have culled from "worldly" sources, but their own have ALL failed !

  I am of that generation spoken of in the Thread title, or the generation before perhaps, being born in the 1950's. Many of the J.W's I knew around my age are no longer with us.

  I suppose that is so that they can say anything they like as individual members of the G.B, however wacky, and if it comes back to bite them on the bum, the body of the G.B can distance themselves from it.

  But 8 Mill. J.W's will say " The Governing Body said ......."

  More subtle, but deniable, Control.

  At least we won't have these deluded people coming to our door anymore, D to D is a thing of the Past, except for a Memorial Invitation or similar .... perhaps.

  Thanks for Posting this ! It is heartening that around the world people are being made aware of the disgusting Shunning practice carried out by J.W's.

  There is now considerable pressure on the very slow moving G.B to DO something abut this, as the Norway case showed, and we have been saying for decades, Shunning violates basic Human Rights.

  is it easy to pretend to be what you are not?

  how do you feel about falsely supporting the pimi which builds them up and therefore an org you don't believe in?

  " a Cult" in the sense that it uses every Mind Control Technique there is, and that is stronger than Reason and Truth.

  In my early days of being fully awake, I could simply not understand how that "House of Cards" could not fall soon, I expected it for a while, as each ridiculous move and the blatant lies mounted, it didn't happen, because of Mind Control.

  Mind Control is all that keeps that House of Cards standing, it is a Super Glue.

  PIMOS have to face the fact that it will not fall anytime soon, the only glimmer of hope is that Super Glue loses all its strength when Heat is applied to it.

  The Heat of Truth can do the job, if you can direct it upon the House of Cards of your loved one's delusional faith.

  BB, you are not alone in having those feelings, I had the same feeling of being a bit of a hypocrite for merely attending for a few months after I fully woke up.

  Back then there were a significant number of Elders in my Circuit who had resigned, and just "lived in the shadows", all PIMO to some degree I would think, that was two decades ago, there must be MANY more like you today !

  More quiet resignations to come, I hope !

  But I feel sorry for people like your good self, it must be agony to be a PIMO in many ways. But we do it for our loved ones still in.

  Of course, with admirable patience and fortitude Jeffro, you are answering JW Poster as though we can put any weight on the Gospel Stories , or the supposed dates for "Jesus' " birth and life based upon them.

  The Gospel Stories are mere Myth and Fable, so of course are no authority or basis for any calculations.

  The Jesus of the Gospels is totally fictitious, as is over 90% of what we find in the Bible.

  We have to remember that Paul is writing to those in Corinth in the circumstances they found themselves then, around the time that Claudius had expelled the Jews from Rome.

  Paul was not writing to the wider church, even less so to us, but to his good friends in Corinth, he had spent 18 months or so with them when he established the Congregation, and he expected persecution to come upon them, as they would all be viewed as members of a Jewish Sect.

  His advice was for the time of this expected persecution, not any longer.

  That is the way I see it, others will disagree, no doubt.

  New approach to ministry

  there is a new approach to ministry where the direction is to just talk to people and listen to what they want to talk about.

  the new school for the midweek meeting is completely different and is all about the new approach .

  even before the no reporting changes field service dropped right off.

  I wondered that for many a year.

  But when you are inside the closed system that is the J.W Bubble of Ignorance it is not easy to see what we can see from the outside. Hence we make predictions of how things are going, and how they are going to go, and J.W's are surprised ! we are not, when they come about. But they still rationalise, and explain away the various changes, as they always have done.

  But in the distant past, a few woke up and left, but now with Internet access, and now no restraint on talking to those who have left, more WILL wake up !

  We can but hope it is our loved ones who do !
