  as i'm sure we all know by now, the july 15, 2011 watchtower branded "apostates" as "mentally diseased" (p. 16, para.

  but never fear, because--also according to the wtbts--jehovah will take that into account at armageddon.

  the wt says so, so it must be true!

  i was shocked to hear how the slander against jehovah's name that we see in the world can be compared to a good man accused of being a child molester.

  he went on to describe how terrible such an accusation would be, and how "friends" of the accused would know he's not capable of such an act and would rally to his defense.

  at several points in the talk, he refers back to the child molester "example" and how eventually, despite the hideous slander heaped on a man in this situation (depicting jehovah in the bigger picture, we assume), that man's good reputation would be restored.

  I recently read somewhere (I'm almost sure it was on here). It was to do with the case in Australia. That the GB's defence are saying the 'faithful and discreet slave' isn't real so it can't be accused. When I read it I thought... 'WHAT'!! Now I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone else remember it?

  Recently read this myself in CoC. Couldn't believe it! I remember the 70's and writing letters of protest to the Malawi government. The persecutions in Malawi could so easily have been avoided if the same policies were used in that country as they were in Mexico. One rule for Malawi and another for Mexico. For me it was another nail in the coffin for the 'Organisation'!

  Wish I could change my username! Do you?

  chose it because of the way i felt a couple of months ago after reading 'those' books.

  now it doesn't quite fit as i'm getting used to things.

  i'm a naturally optimistic person and my username makes me come across as a right miserable so and so... lol.

  for thousands of years humans lived together intimately without bottled mouthwash, toothpaste, underarm deodorant or dipilatory creams.. .

  then, some smart merchandizer started advertising an incessant message: your breath stinks, your teeth aren't white, you're pits are odious, and hey lady, you've got a moustache on your lip!.

  suddenly made self-conscious by these accusations the world scrambled to stock their bathroom cabinets with billions of dollars worth of the products!.

  Jesus “Was” but not “IS” Michael!

  to honor the son is to honor the father.. i am a practicing jw who i believe is of the heavenly calling.

  this post is not to criticize wts but to open honest discussion among mature followers of christ.. there has been much controversy around the wts doctrine regarding the arch angel michael.

  as many are aware, wts believe that jesus in his pre-human existence was michael , gods first born.
