Me too, I was shocked by the picture (I thought it was one of the children). At the end of the day it's them that need protecting and it seems that Mr. Unthank has put a lot of time, money and emotional energy into something that 99% of us wouldn't have the bottle to do.

by cedars inohiocowboy has just posted this information on the two other threads dealing with the sudden collapse of the unthank cases.. i don't know steven unthank, but i just want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for having the courage against overwhelming odds to try and bring the watch tower society to justice over their deplorable neglect when it comes to protecting children from abuse and molestation.. steven is a man of justice and integrity who i deeply admire.
his actions will never be forgotten, and i only hope he can find it within himself to continue his work in whatever avenue may become available in the future.. they have won this battle, but they can never win the war.. .

My son is a pioneer, doing a part time dead end job so he can 'serve Jehovah'... it would take him 6 months to earn what they spend on this in one evening... makes me feel physically sick.

What I want to know SIAM is how do we go about doing it? Especially when you're in your 'senior' years and everyone you know is 'in it'. How can you go about finding your real self? I was born and brought up a JW. pioneered straight from school, got married, had kids (and dead end jobs) and now have a grandchild... so.. what do I do next and how??? Is it just a waste of time even attempting it at this time of life?
And I'm sure I'm not the only one asking this...

in nearly every reference to their position of oversight over the worldwide brotherhood, the governing body refer to themselves as being representatives.... .

The WTS actually using it as a 'get out of jail' card. Even if the case itself came to nothing, the fact they said that the FDS can't be prosecuted because it doesn't exist! So if it doesn't exist.. in their own words...

LOL! MrM.. I've had my share of those too! When I was a teen I worked with one older brother, actually a very nice brother (till he went knocking on doors).. used to put his foot over the doorstep, try to stop them closing it and once they had he would stand there talking to a closed door! LOL! CRINGE!!

I had a scan at 11 weeks pregnancy. The baby was shown in full dancing around, all 2" of him. Arms and legs waving about seemingly enjoying himself. Do I believe abortion is wrong? Yes, definitely.
A baby is a baby, inside or outside the womb. Just because he can't survive outside the womb, doesn't make it any less a human being.

Good post SIAM.. as always! To be honest I don't think I'll ever truly know 'who' I am. There are so many different things going on inside that I sometimes haven't got a clue what is the 'real' me and what isn't.

Try reading In Search of Christian Freedom by Ray Franz, he uses a LOT of the Society's old publications to back up his arguments. If you tell her where to go in the Society's own literature she cannot call it apostacy.

A picture of 'A' child could be acceptable... a picture of 'The' child is not. What about her rights of anonimity? To me this is just adding to her abuse (if it is her)
