Sounds like a great night to me as long as the drugs are moderate. Last week I ran into a brother after I finished smoking some weed. It was weird

YOU 'THINK' YOU ARE FREE when you leave the Org. . . but it can be an ILLUSION
by Terry indid you know there is nothing more insane than being partly indoctrinated and partly free?.
the level of cognitive dissonance is ridiculous!.
i have told this story before, so i'll shorten it to cut to the chase.. in 1987, i was dating a professional psychotherapist with a view to marriage.

I've done that to people plenty of times. Now whereever I go, I just leave out that information as if those years never happened and I don't know anything about the bible. It also saved me from stressful conversations.

THE REALITY OF REFUSING BLOOD - as it happened
by Bloody Hotdogs! inover the past couple years i have watched three young jw woman give up thier lives rather than accept blood.
the last was a new mother in her late 20s.
this is her story, as it unfolded on facebook:.

Damn. This is why I left the watchtower organization. And no funeral either? I know it was her choice but I feel like it was partly influenced by the organization seeing how they never respect or see a funeral as anything but a chance to preach.

If you are having problems or lacking joy, then the flow of Holy Spirit in your life is lacking!
by stuckinarut2 inyes, this comment was just made by the speaker today!:.
"if you find that you are lacking in joy or experiencing problems in life, this is evidence that jehovah's spirit is lacking or being blocked in your life".
i sat there thinking "are you kidding me brother?...

Evidently, if you lack JOY or experiencing PROBLEMS in life, it's also because Satan knows you're doing the "right thing" and putting trials before you. I was told to be appreciate my depression for that reason. A whole lot of bullshit right there.

Kingdom chorus
by looter inso im at the meeting after its over and this elder says to me that god needs my voice because he, the elder, feels that my singing is not loud enough.
i did not tell him this, but singing just is not my thing.
he then went on saying how gods people are better singers than "the worlds singers".

I would have said yes. Your lyrics make you a bad lyricist, not a bad singer. Terrible analogy.

I think I liked the golden cover instead. The new one looks so dull and depressing. If I was someone at the door, it wouldn't capture my interest at all.

From 1 to 10, how do you rate the value of the Internet in your awakening?
by Hidden-Window inas we all know, the internet is a real game-changer in allowing us to know the truth about the watch tower and its history.
i always had doubts and it was the internet that presented me with the ever-growing number of individuals who were going through a similar struggle.. i give the internet a 9 in my awakening.
what about you?.

10. I accidently came across information on the internet which peaked my interest to keep looking up more stuff. Nobody in the congregation or in my family had any part at all.

Why are the Jesus people so obsessed with spreading their message?
by fulltimestudent inare they fearful that they are mistaken, so they must argue with everyone, and try to prove all otehr religions wrong, but their's right?.
i'm not talking about the well-known jw persistence, in which we all once shared.. i'm talking about nearly all brands of christianity, the witnesses and their other branded counterparts.
here are two incidents to demonstrate.. a week or so back, i read in a chinese newspaper of a complaint by two tibetan buddhist women in the city of xining, qinghai province, in western china.

One of my friends in college was in the dining hall. A cute girl comes over and asks him if he wanted to go to "Basic". She was cute so of course he left with her. She took him to church with a banner that read "B.A.S.I.C - Brothers and sisters in Christ"
At least he got free food. -

The best way to debate JW's without being labeled an apostate
by cookiemaster inhey guys!
here's what i found to be the best way (for me at least) to debate jw's without earning the laber of apostate.
this is mostly valid when debating jw's that don't know you personally, but it could help with those that do too.

I don't argue with JW's anymore. I'm glad they're living their shitty life.

JWs say, "They don't judge"
by skeeter1 inwhat is up with jws?
lately, i've heard this line, "we don't judge .
but, doesn't everyone judge?
-
Godsendconspirator
They "don't judge" but they always have an incredibly sour face whenever I see them now as oppose to when I was in.
