and i am finding the adjustment to the real world far more difficult than i ever imagined...i f...it has been about five years since i totally woke up to the fraudulant nwt and then all my other doubts i had carried for years were proved true as well.

but almost all of my few friends are exjw or slack jw's and i feel so isolated...my sons friends are mostly exjw too but not their gf's and they have way more normal friends .

how have you done at replacing lifelong friends and family?

Another example of the smothering and high control nature of JW husbands

i have noticed another popular pattern of behaviour amongst witnesses in recent years.. many, and i mean lots of ones with instagram accounts have closed the wife's account, and have started a "couple's" account instead.

also, for families.

the children's accounts have been closed, and the husband starts a "family account".. it is mainly on the husband's device, and seemingly under his control.

I disagree with you completely

families members are being more and more isolated by "private" social media. Creating family accounts would encourage family time, conversation and a better sense of family

All families should do this, JW, catholic, atheist, Muslim or otherwise

You should stop letting anger control your life and quit looking for the "bad" in everything.

i have noticed it more strictly enforced, even refusing entry until after the song and in the "back room" then leaving immediately after prayer

ive also noticed announcements now when someone is no longer a publisher and no longer a pioneer

i don't seem to remember these being announced off the platform before

i didnt answer because he's actively shunning me and when he does ring it always to preach to me about how we're so close to the end and how i should "humble myself before the mighty hand of god" .

he then texts me saying "we need to talk".

i went through the original footage to get a good look at the watch.. from these pictures we can probably say that it is a apple watch and that it has a golden color.

the color on the pin is black, and the band is white, grey, silvery or beige.. .

the pin is in the exact place for it to be a apple watch.. only apple watch edition have the gold color.

A religion or OCPD?

i came across this paragraph about the causes of ocpd and it occurred to me that jws as a religion do reward ocpd traits.

they insist you adhere to rules and behaviours to the impairment of social and family activities.

perfectionism, strict moral code, lack of generosity.. so does this religion cause this personality disorder or does it recruit people who suffer from it?.

I find many here find it easy to blame the wts for just about all and any of their problems

But the reality is that plenty of people who've never associated with jw's have these same problems

I'm not saying their claim is false but just blaming jw's for your problems will do nothing for you or anyone else. Lots of jw's are perfectly happy being jw's, lots of catholics and atheists are perfectly happy in their life, and plenty of all these are unhappy. If you want to be happy then choose to be happy, don't waste your life pointing fingers at everyone but yourself
