  What's changed since I left in 2006?

  Is anyone else like me.... that so much has changed you wouldn’t even know where to begin?

  setiously, so much has changed that anyone under 20 wouldn’t even know what you were talking about if you mentioned generation of 1914 or 1975 or types/antitypes or revelation grand climax or F&DS

  we used to hate the internet now we LOVE the internet

  We used to read BOOKS and get new books at assemblies and have book studies at peoples houses and have 3 meetings a week!

  How can you explain what’s changed when nothing is left of what hasn’t?

  i find myself scrolling right past those topics i see online.

  I’m exactly the same! I used to scrutinize very little detail

  now I could care less about jw doctrine

  i suppose in part because it doesn’t really matter any more. Back in the days of Franz we LOVED all the years and toes and antitypes and all the bullshit that lunatic wrote

  Now nobody in the hall really actually knows what they believe, it’s just the “best life ever” and that’s enough

  "not doing well spiritually"

  working late tonight i just thought this up : whenever we used to hear someone say " so and so is not doing well spiritually™ " or "not doing well in the truth™ " what it really means is they aren't doing well climbing the wtbts's corporate ladder or doing their beck and call following the herd cult thingy.

  I loathe that phrase

  its said with no need for “evidence” or honesty. Anyone can just “say it”

  similar to not giving the correct answer in a “conscience” decision (CD) despite being a CD you will be asked to “pray about it” and talk with elders in a few days

  of course pray about it means choose the correct CD

  anyone know what has happened to freemind.org website?

  it's still up but it looks like a shell of the site i remember back five or six year years ago.

  if i am not mistaken, i think randy may have taken ill over the years.

  backhanded compliment to Sunday speaker

  a couple years ago we had a speaker, better than average, give the talk.

  since i was still pretty much a believer, i commented to him how i enjoyed the talk, and how it was "entertaining".

  it was, but he got mad as it was one of the beat the fear of god (governing body) into you talks.

  How Would You Console A Witness Who Has Lost A Loved One?

  let’s say that you haven’t been around a kingdom hall in years and everyone knows you are not a “true believer “ anymore.

  yet a tragedy strikes and you want to give a real heartfelt expression of your feelings— what would you say?

  would you acknowledge the resurrection hope that the witnesses entertain or say something very different?.

  No it’s not time to “get even”

  And when the roles are reversed it’s not time to preach.... but we all know how that works

  imagine a JW in the home of a deceased DF’d sibling, imagine the uncomfortable silence from him, that silence would scream “if he wasn’t DF’d he’d have the resurrection, he knew better”

  Unfortunately Most JWs enjoy when a DF dies, gives them a real sense of validation

  this just in from the 2017 annual meeting:.

  1. watchtowers and awakes won't be released regularly, at least three watchtower and awakes per year.

  6 magazines a year.. 2. a new book is being released: remain in god's love, more of an update like how they did for the what does the bible really teach book.

  my family hasnt signed the blood paper but still say no blood (well the adults do).i overheard a elder taking to my aunt about the blood papaers she needs to fill out.but he also aid she needs a make a small little letter saying i wont take blood.some times i wish i never heard that talk.. even tho i knew i would have to stand up for me being hable to have life.now i just zone out and think will i die for something thats a lie?.

  im going to try not to think about it for a little my head hurts after this..

  my dr did axactly that

  staff knows too that if they view a patient file it’s logged, and if done without authorization they will likely lose their job

  My dr told me this cause there was jw working in same office

  In my hall we had talk recently about blood cards, said Cong. only had 4 blood cards on file from over 100 publishers. Pretty obvious the “friends” don’t want big brother policing their personal medical choices
