I wanted to point out that a Study many years ago said that if they had thoroughly DISPROVED something from the scriptures, they would never go back to it, as it would be like a dog returning to its vomit.

OKAY... July 2013 Witchtower. The end ain't coming fo at least 30 years...
by hamsterbait inthe noolite in the july study rag, is that all the annointed will be in heaven when armageddy starts.. they already proved from the scriptures that there is not going to be a rapture of annointed.
(as a study pointed out they would "never" go back to a teaching they had disproved with the babble).
since mark sanderson is about 48, is in beth hell and receives the very best of health care, we can count on him living until at least 70 - 80. unless he dies of cancer or obesity or an accident.

They already PROVED from the scriptures that there is NOT going to be a rapture of annointed. (As a Study pointed out they would "never" go back to a teaching they had disproved with the Babble)
I did not get this from the article. I got the impression they do now accept a "rapture" like taking of the anointed after the GT begins but before Armageddon
there is no indication of when the GT will begin or how long the period of judging the sheep and the goats leading up to Armageddon will be in the article.

2034 is going to be a huge letdown for the dubs
by wha happened? ini've seen a few postings of a possible "next date" for dubs of 2034. based on an article they published comparing the last days to the days of noah.
preaching for 120 years.
however, i noticed a little tidbit from wiki about age:.

the thought of waiting that long to be validated and see 1914 be abondoned makes me sick. Then only to have the WTS move the "beginning of the harvest" to the 1957 sputnick launch makes me even sicker.
We all know 1914 will be footnote in 30 years time, unknown to so many in the same manner as 1925.
They will just keep moving the goal posts and getting away with it just like they always have.
JW's don't stay in the BOrg for doctrine, they stay in for the social benefits. So long as they don't need a blood transfusion or are forced to shun their own child, they will stay in and not care about overlapping generations or changed dates of expectation.

Got a angry letter from our oldest son today we are very hurt from it.
by TotallyADD inwhen i got home today from work my wife showed me a 5 page letter from our oldest son.
he basically said he does not what anything to do with us because of all the wrong things we did as parents to him and his brother.
he blames us for not being there for him and we are toxic parents.

Can somebody explain the changes I read in the WT??
by diana netherton inmy grandmother asked me to read to her so i asked her what she wanted me to read.
was the watchtower, but she specfically asked for the one with "the timeline.
it for a few days and apparently hasn't read up.

A common WT tactic is to simply quit talking about it. Then they'll slowly slip little tidbits of information into various articles making some changes. It is barely perceptible to most JWs. After this process takes place over time, usually years, and the desired verbiage has been assimilated by JWs about the change, the WT will then introduce an article directly stating the change.
This almost seemed to be what was occuring for a few years but then 1914 started making a comeback after the Gods Love book.
I wonder if they were avoiding 1914 "too much" and felt the need to dip back into it.
The July 15 does not avoid 1914 but spends little time focusing on it. It's almost a side point to the "beginning of the harvest". This seemed to be the emphasis. I wouldnt't be surprised if we begin hearing a new phraseology around 1914 and that is "The beginning of the harvest"
This will take the emphaisis off the actual year and place it on the "event" in the overall timeline. 1914 will just be another dot along the chronology and not the focus of it.
