for those that claim atheism creates more questions than it answers please answer the question how God came into existence BEFORE you presuppose your argument that God existing is an easily accepted fact
if your answer to that question is "we don't know" or has anything to do with faith then your argument is at best no better than atheism and at worst complete garbage

in 2006, riddell signed a declaration that she did not want to be given blood during any medical procedure because of her jehovah's witness beliefs, even if healthcare providers believed that it was necessary to preserve her life.. she later stopped practising the religion but her brother told hill she maintained the declaration because she had researched the use of blood transfusions and made an informed decision not to receive any blood.. riddell opted for the surgery after being diagnosed with symptomatic gallstones, hill said.. parry met with riddell before the surgery but did not discuss receiving blood with her as he told hill the chances of someone bleeding during the surgery were less than one per cent.. that meant the surgery began at wairau hospital at 9am without parry knowing about the declaration, although his anaesthetist did.. it was originally supposed to be a keyhole only surgery, but parry made the decision to go to an open surgery as he could not access the gall bladder through the keyhole technique.. during the surgery there was a small amount of bleeding, which parry was unconcerned about.. the surgery finished at 11.15am and parry went away to perform another surgery.
during that time, riddell's blood pressure dropped and fluids increased.. the anaesthetist visited parry during his surgery and told him "we have a problem, she's bleeding.

Could the 1914 math be reworked to accomodate a change to 607? perhaps the same way it was reworked to allow the 606 to 607 change without shifting 1914-1915

What should be done with excess congregation funds that are currently being held or that may accumulate in the future?
The elders of congregations having funds on deposit with the branch office should re-view the balance of such funds and decide if these can be donated in full or in part to the worldwide work and/or Kingdom Hall and Assembly Hall construction worldwide, par-ticularly if these funds were being saved for a future construction project. Periodically, the body of elders may also review the balance of the congregation funds to determine if surplus cash could be sent to the branch office as a donation. The recommendation for such a donation should be presented to the congregation as a one-time resolution. When this resolution is approved by the congregation, the one-time donation to the worldwide work or to Kingdom Hall and Assembly Hall construction worldwide may be added to the monthly resolved amounts sent to the branch office.

i wish there was away to track the psych job during patterson and other major projects of what happened to all the "friends" that sold and got rid of their livelyhood then and where are they now.. did you ever sacrifce it all for a building project only to be left with nothing after your "spiritual high"?.
i am "still in" and if anyone in my hall sold everything to work at a WTS build site i would look at them like they're crazy too
its typical young JWs that are still idealistic and not jaded by reality yet
they never turn down talks or "privileges" and then burn out cause all the older brothers using them to dump all their "privileges" on
I agree, no one made them come, but the WTS does a good job spinning the "blessings" part of it
as I get older I have concluded that it's not about a lack of love, it's just that people have their own lives & problems and don't particularly care about yours. Why should they bail you out? Who's bailing them out? No one, they have to deal with all their own problems and if your dumb enough to buy into the WTS hype about all those awesome blessings then you can bless your way back to reality with the rest us
