I don't think the member's realize how they are being indoctrinated with these cult techniques, which are buzz words that keep their followers blinded and following their "masters". Once I started reading up on the behaviors of cult indoctrination, it followed the practices of the JW "religion" to a T. Very interesting.

Why are there two Watchtowers published? The real reason
by exjehovah inso i talked to my dear aunt who is disfellowshipped but still has to interact with my elderly jw witness and masquerading jw aunt (really doesn't agree with the jw doctrine, but lives with my grandmother to take care of her) and she told me that there are now two watchtowers published, one that they use for congregation and the other for their "field service".. why do you suppose they are really doing that?
is it because they are trying to keep things from the public eyes?
i was really surprised to hear that..

I am now officially an Ex-JW!!!!
by Momma-Tossed-Me ini am now officially by being announced at congregation level that i am no longer one of jehovahs wihtnesses.
that news spread like wild fire and i was dropped by all jw's on facebook, which shows the level of control the borg has in this area.
what is interesting is there was no juducial committee.

Welcome to the REAL WORLD! (My favorite line from "The Matrix")
You will learn to interact through life with a no-holds barred mindset. It won't be easy, but it will be freeing.
I am glad there are places like this for people to come and help each other.

A New JW Offensive?
by metatron ini am compelled to ask, are we seeing a new effort in apologia by jehovah's witnesses?.
perhaps it is just the vain, 'last-ditch' efforts of a few to defend this sick, unloving cult.
efforts to disprove over 130 years of false promises.

I am convined that they will try to build a compound and motivate their followers to leave everything behind and because Armageddon is coming.
Where else can they go with so many fumbles? How long can they keep predicating Armageddon and people have been born, died, etc?

Can't believe people who were JWs with me as children are still in the religon.
by myusername inso through the internet it's possible to see what people are doing from childhood without actually interacting.
i really imagined the majority people i knew who were born into the religon about the same time i was would have left when they matured and hopefully developed some logic???.
so do they really believe everything they were taught as children or are they just stuck and don't know how to leave?

I can only think of two or three; everyone else never got baptised, got disfellowshipped, or just "quietly left" whether they were baptized or not. I just think it is hard to keep people following a religion with so many holes in it, especially if people get educated and are around various people that are not JWs.

Does Anyone Know the Reading Level of Society Lit?
by Band on the Run inthe thread on pros of being a jw (not filled with many) led me to wonder if anyone has scientifically assessed the reading level of the average wt, awake, books.
i thought 5th grade but it is a guess.
software exists now to evaluate reading comprehension levels necessary to read documents.

I would definitely say about 3rd grade level.
The songs they sing would have to be at a 2nd grade level, they are some of the worst "songs" put to music out there. I definitely believe they are repeated for mind control purposes.

Any actual Witnesses here?
by trthskr ini found this site hoping to read topics submitted by jw's so i could learn more, but it just seems to be everyone else here except them.
just about every topic and member is just bashing jw's and their teachings.
this site should be renamed "jwbashertrolls.net".

Call to legal department Jan 6, 2012
by koolaid-man introubled former witness calls legal department at the watchtower organization.............. dale beckman says, can the "society" be guilty of "alienation of affection?
" in my case, my family has been told it is proper to hate me and to do nothing to help me in any way - otherwise, they could be considered a sharer in my works of "unforgivable sin.
" they are told not to even greet me.

I have been thinking about writing a letter to this organization/publishing empire/cult entitled "How Jehovah Witnesses destroy families", but I wonder the best way to get the true message across. These people will just use this as affirmation, so I really want to send something to them and also to the media, to at least show from my personal experience how DANGEROUS this group is when anyone dares to leave and the majority of their family remains in.
- Family will cut you off up and including refusing to speak to you
- Spouses, children, parents will alienate contact and disrupt your relationship
All strictly because you make a choice of your own free will to reject their religious teachings.
I am positive there is a huge portion of the group that realize the fakery of this religion but don't want to lose contact with family and friends...

New here, need support: I wrote an open letter regarding my issues with JWs
by exjehovah ini'm new, but i have been acquainted with your site before.
i'm a 40 year old female with a family knee deep in the jw religion.
i left when i was 18 and never looked back, but the majority of my family is still in.

Thanks for allowing me to vent. Again, the most important thing is that I don't allow my anger to fall into their hands. I have been acquainted with this site, as well as a few others, but I would always come and read and then want to stop thinking about the JWs at all. I have been out for 22 years. They really have no real part of my life. It is just with family members dying, my getting a divorce and trying to have some type of interaction they bring out those feelings of disgust over the entire cult religion.
But the truth is I want to be calm and give them no place to one up me. They are very very manipulative. I am just going to severly limit interaction with them, and move on with my life. I will create my own family; which I have in many ways, but sometimes after the death of a few and a divorce, you look around for those that raised you.
Again, thanks for all your kind words. I really appreciate it.
