Who really is Babylon the Great?

my apologies if this topic has been suggested before.. two scriptures which have always niggled me for one reason or another - .

(revelation 17:5-6) and upon her forehead was written a name, a mystery: "babylon the great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.

" and i saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of jesus.. (revelation 18:4) and i heard another voice out of heaven say: "get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues.. who really is babylon the great?.

A keyboard confessional...

you guys don't know me, i'm new here.

i'm typing on an iphone (pardon any random weird iphone auto-spell corrections) and could walk home to get to my laptop but i might lose the courage to post what comes to my heart to share right now.

worse and more likely, i'll simply not be able to express what i felt right now... if i wait until i have a proper keyboard.

i haven't been on here regularly in many years, but i know what it is like for many; or those that are on their way of exiting the organization.. what songs do you recall or remember during your exodus from the wtbts ??.

i left mentally in the late autumn of 1983; apparently (i don't know officially...but does it really matter?

Thanks.. where are you.. insearchoftruth..if you can say.. I love that song, they play it on the radio here, I looked it up and its not a worldwide hit .. but I love IT!!

there was a documentary about jehovahs witnesses (in austria) on the austrian tv channel orf2.

for some reason i can't hear the sound, just read the subtitles.. i am watching it at the moment, so i cannot say much yet, but might post something later or tomorrow..
