  i hve conculded that All religions all mind controlling and the same..thy all hve 'issues' non is perfect...just pick one hope u dnt get to entangled in its webs..

  i think thy are all the same..th base logistics of how thy run thier affairs n worship is the same... thy ar all man made..all mind controlling..if religion is a big part of your life jus pick one and deal with its crap.coz its gonna be there.!.

  .its jus not th jw,th catholics ,the muslims thy jews ,th mushroomming ministries th list in endles... am just sayin.

  here's a few guesses.... the brooklyn waterfront is a convenient place for the society to make their videosgrowing up as a jw when your friends have cellphones and you don't is "kind of rough" and a "kind of sad story"suddenly it's ok for jw youths to "go out" with worldly friends?

  ?you should listen to what your "peers" say, so long as they're jws on a society video.

  anything else is peer pressure.playing by yourself with a frisbee is the preferred sport for young people (no teams or competition involved)young jws don't have a clue how to communicate with the opposite sex via text messages"it's really up to you how you choose to communicate with this wonderful tool that you have"... even though it clearly isn't.the society's video-making department are already running out of ideashttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=se_iuspg_14.

  I have a dumb question re: publishing corp...

  many of you refer to wts as a rich publishing corp. since the mags they pass out are free i don't understand how they make money from them?

  sorry for the dumb question - curious newbie....

  (I forget the exact date but it was something like 1989 or even later.)

  It had to be before 87 when I was DF'd.. I went the bethel on one of the 2 week, help referbish the Furman building deals( AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE, SUCH AN HONOR).. and at that time someone at bethel told me the asking for cotributions was done away with because of the windfall IBM paid for the meeps program.. t

  I was ousted sortly there after... evidently that wasn't true...

  Gopher.. I found that Alexander Haig clip cool .. I picked him up from the airport for the hotel I worked at in the late 80's early 90's.. He was a VIP .. he smoked a pipe constantly and had a Yes man with him(who mostly was there to light his pipe).. I say that because the guy said Yes, to everything he said .. literally.. lol.. His was the most self important person I ever met.. I pick up a ton of celebrities as the Bell Captain of a 5 star resort and major hotel for 14 years.. anyway, picking up Mr Haig was a real kick.. because everyone want to hear about it, but that was long ago.. he was still quite famous for that infamous line at that time..
