good question... I heard they shut their doors in NY during 9/11...
They'll make sure everyone has a Watchtower.. but thats about it.. as far as I've seen

Do JW's only help JW's in a disaster zone?
by not bitter ini've heard lots of stories over the years of the wonderful job the jw's do in assisting those in need in disaster zones whether they be earthquakes or floods.
it would always be reported that the witnesses were the most organised in setting up camps etc and would out do the red cross and other such organisitions.
but also that they would quickly set up mini congregations to keep the disaster struck brothers spiritually fed.. has anyone here been involved in disaster relief work with the witnesses to clarify:.

ya do know what THE most popular reason we leave WT is doncha?
by oompa innot sure about it specifically....but i see three catagories...and what do you think is the specific one is????
i fit in the first one...and you guys know what the deal breaker was for me.... (changing the bible to make it say what they wanted it to in the nwt...especially adding the name jehovah 237 times in the nt...or cgs....when there is zero ancient manuscript for doing so...even though rev says to not add nor delete nuttin...they added the name jehovah twelve time in rev alone....even though not a single one is a quote from the ot or hebrew scriptures!!
and that is not right either....how did we not notice that we have the only bible around with the name jehovah in the new testament.....sooo deceitful about that) (and that is the longest parentheses of my life)...lol.

I am no longer sure how to worship him.
in spirit and truth.. works for me, I left 23 years ago... glad I never went back.. I never will after finding out how corupt the Governing Body is..
but when I left I went into the world still believing it's the 'TRUTH'..... but knew my dedication was to Jehovah not to the Watchtower.. that is how I survived.. I kew they were wrong to say you can only get to Jesus with the Watchtower.. that is just WRONG..
