Watch Tower Corporation Listed Top Forty Revenue-Generating Companies in New York City, Reporting an Annual Revenue of About 951 Million US Dollars
by frankiespeakin inso are they a religious non profit corporation?
how is this dicotomy possible that they could generate such revenue and not make an accounting to irs?.
originally known as the peoples pulpit association, the organization was incorporated in 1909 when the society's principal offices moved to brooklyn, new york.

Not meaning to sound sexist : In general are women more emotional/feel good about religion, and men more proof/doctrinal in their acceptance ?
by smiddy ini`m just speaking from my own experience here ,and it has occured to me that over the 33 years i was a witness and in the six congrgations i was a part of , except for a few exceptions, the majority of sisters in the congregations did not have a grasp of the so called deeper things of god, according to wt theology, sure they could run off " bible topics for discussion" sermons but very few could take a discussion any further than that.whereas i was aware that males seemed more likely to delve deeper into, not only the scriptures, but also the wt interpretations as a whole.
don`t get me wrong a few women left me for dead in their comprehension of topics ,but i`m just saying overall i found this to be the case ... my experience... smiddy.

@ gladiator .. yep .. I first learned about the word "but" in marriage counseling .. I said it every sentence I made .. the counselor was always pointing it out and taking the Ms's side ...I quit ...
I saw then the conselor had a point, but he just could see my point of view.. LoL .. now I'm very careful with that word...

How did the JW come up with the idea that human has no soul or spirit??
by FingersCrossed inreally appreaciate it if someone can tell me :).

Pretty odd to base a religion on the idea there in no soul that survives death when you really think about it.
no, not really .. then why the need for resurection.. It's my understanding that Plato brought the imortality of the human soul into christianity

what difference do i want to make and to whom?
Thanks for asking, my big sister whom is still in.. when I first started looking into the WT in 2009, called her and told so..
I said " It looks like these apostates are wanna be elders who are starting there own church'
She said.. "ya they are"
I said my friend said "I googled them, it looks like they have pedophile issues"
She said, " We did, but since then... no one who's been a molester can ever ..ever have postion in the congregation again"
haven't spoken to her since, recently I've download the OCT 1 BOE smoking gun letter.. and have hard copy.. was thinking of mailing it to her..
not sure of how, or how much to say .. may be just Dear sister what you told me isn't true .. here is proof .. from your own GB...
anyway... sugestions..I agree you can't talk WT doctrine with them...

Interesting Comment From an Active Elder
by DarioKehl ini was recently speaking to an elder "off the record" while helping him do some house repairs.
i have a comfortable enough relationship to speak openly with him about things, but am careful to disclose the extent of my disbelief in wt doctrine.
anyway, this guy wouldn't last a day in the mafia because he can't keep anything confidential.

First, how could he be so naiive about all the major changes I'd mentioned that have happened since 2007? Second, how could he not have noticed the massive increase in partakers?
Yes great post... how can they be so naiive? they trust in the FDS... are conditioned to NOT think for themselves .. it's wrong too think at all really..
keep us posted I wanna hear more from this elder

What does that mean? How can an overlap add up to a few more decades? 2013-1914=99 years old today if just born in 1914--in decades, they will certainly be all dead.
Decades? more like centuries.. or another mullinium... it's the generation who saw the generation of the gerenation whom witnessed the 1914 generation pass away .. they are ones who see the fulfilment of all these things
geez ..silly .. and thats barely enough time to get the required quota of Watchtower studing done...
great post DK.. just having fun..
the last time I spoke to my Sister.. 15years ago.. she said "Tate there's 10 maybe 20 years left.. and that barely enough time to get strong enough in the truth to make it.. "
LOL ..

when the show intervention came out ... it was amazing how vicious and violent the gambling addicts could get..
I remember one who berated his Mom to give him money for his rent .. which was true... then, when he got the money , he realised he could gamble it get the rent money and extra money for him self.. he lost it all..
gambling addiction is placing the bet for the high... It's like buying crack As the high.. and not doing it.. and buying it again.. at least with drugs .. you are on the drugs for awhile till you buy more ..
not that any addiction is good or better .. but gambling is worse than most know.. the quickest finacial ruin..
