  Songs that are atmospheric

  this is a song thread that will take a little thought.

  i'd like for you to share songs that sound atmospheric and conjure up feelings of night air or a smokey room, the energy of the ocean's roar or capture the joy of a party or celebration.

  the songs can be transportive and take you other places by their sound and the visuals they evoke from the stories they tell.. my first one is from tim mcgraw.

  i have been in terrible pain for several days now.

  i don't know what i did but my low back hurts like hell and there is a lump like a knot there.

  nothing had helped until i used my wife's tens unit.

  wow, so far 4 out of 4 "worldly" people i've talked to about my situation, actually care.

  i mean ive been telling myself that most people would care.

  but i can just tell, by the way i feel shocked and surprised at their genuine interest to listen and help, that subconsciously, i still feel like no worldly person cares.

  The Jah-Jireh homes are run privately by wealthy brothers FOR JW elderly, they have nothing to do with the WT Society per se therefore cannot be a basis forthe Society claiming charitable status.

  Hello MSg20 good to hear from you!

  Regrets? Oh yes, plenty. I was a sister for 21 years. Brought up 4 sons in the "truth". Gave the best years of my young womanhood to pioneering and bringing up my children in obedience to the Org.(BIG regret). Didn't get an education nor encouraged my sons to get one (frowned upon). Worked menial cleaning jobs and lived under deep stress and constant guilt. Never felt as if I was doing enough, never felt worthy, never, ever felt good enough.

  When you allow yourself to be controlled and manouvered in every aspect of your life,you end up never growing up. You remain a child, afraid to make informed adult choices on the important things incase you displease your "parent", the Society.

  Thankfully, at the age of 42 I left, and I can honestly say that I've grown up more in the last 4 years than I ever did in the previous 21.

  The Org provides nothing for their elderly. They rely on wealthy business minded brothers to do the job for them

  The WWCOD is a different animal to what it was in the early days. I don't think its like the Witnesses anymore but some of its offshoots (see the OP) still hold firmly to the teachings of Armstrong. Is this the church your wife is going to?
