For a legislature to put this into place would be impossible. That would mean if someone is mean to someone else they can sue, if someone doesnt say a kind word to someone else they can sue. What you are suggesting is impossible.

No judge in any western world would ever allow something like that. And showing unconcern to anyone is not a tort. Even common decency is not abrort.

I am not sure what that video is supposed to show. You have to sue over a recognizable tort.

No you cannot. People have to take responsibility for their actions and their life. That is how the law sees things. You cannot sue people or random things.

It must be really nice to think that you are never the problem with any of your life issues. That all good things that have happened to you are because of how wonderful you are and everything bad that happens to you is because of Watchtower.

Violet. The number is actually not that high. The reporting from Mr Zalkin is 775 blue envelopes in 1997. In the Padron Case it was reported that between 2001 and 2016 the total names would be about 1600.

The other members vote in a member for a defined term. It also requires in the bylaws that the member be a member of the special fulltime order of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Yes, the representative plaintiff was abused by a family member, and regardless of their religious belief, the abuse would have happened. The mother at any time could have asked her adult son to leave, as he was well over 18 when the mother was informed of the abuse.
Also, the Canadian Supreme Court ruled that a civil court cannot rule if a person can or cannot be a part of a religion. The plaintiff is asking for the court to interpret if religion provided enough support to someone who was abused. What standard are they going to use, what words does someone have to say in order for them not be held liable in a lawsuit? A large part of the lawsuit is that the plaintiff says that because the person wasn't removed from the religion then the mental abuse continued. Again their Supreme Court ruled that is not a thing that a court can decide.

Watchtower volunteer injuries
by neat blue dog ini was recently talking with a zealous 'sister' who for years was assigned to use a certain chemical while taking care of wt property, only to have it irreparably damage her immune system partly because she wasn't trained properly.
she said there was a potential lawsuit but she didn't want to bring reproach on jehovah's organization.
has anybody else heard of similar situations, of people being hurt or injured in service to the org, maybe even because of them, and taking the loss so the org wouldn't look bad?.

I have actually heard the opposite. That Watchtower actually asked for an official lawsuit because that is what is required for their insurance to pay out.

What About A Class Action Lawsuit For Emotional Harm From Secret Kangaroo Courts Orcestrated By The Watchtower Coporation
by Humphry ini think malice and outright fraud can be proved very easily, and what about 1st amendment violations and chilling free speech to warn friends and family about the fraud and abusiveness of this corporation.
information that needed to be passed on to loved ones but cut off by shunning imposed by an announcement of so and so have been found guilty by a secret committee of men appointed by the wt corp. to do it's dirty work of silencing critics of the corporation.
maybe the whistle blower laws can be evoked.. i'm just throwing this out there on the net to stimulate some kind of thinking about the possibilities maybe not even a class action but perhaps a couple of people heavily harmed by this way past its expiration date abusing mind control cult and its totally phony judicial system to keep members under their evil control.. to start things off and then latter a class action..

The complication of trying to make a constitutional amendment would be impossible. There are a number of cases where people try to sue watchtower an individual congregation or individual elders. Also other religions and their congregations. You cant sue over a JC or a DFing
