Please Respond To Survey! 25 more needed please.
by Big Jim init seems like to me the majority of people who are in the truth, are were in the truth was a result of either a family member are a friend witnessing to them and not many seem to have been found in the door to door work.. from my years of associating with the borg i cannot recall many coming in the truth from the door to door work.. how were you sucked in?
for me it was my aunt who has now even though i am not disfellowshipped decided to write me out of her will to the tune of about $150,000.00 (maybe i should hang around a couple more years)dont think i will.. please respond .
thanks.

OK,OK,OK, i admit it too neyank. i was found at the door. but in my defensd, it was at a very vulnerable time in my life. i was newly married, had two miscarriages, and soon after that, was in a major car accident. there was alot of life and death issues, and they were there, ofcourse, seemingly with all the answers to the questions. everyone's right about it being mostly family, though. everyone seems to be related to each other. and if they arn't now, they will be when there kids marry each other, right out of highschool, ofcourse, without getting an education first, because they cant wait to have sex. fortuniately i got out before my kids would have had that option presented to them as the only one. it is an interesting survey.

skimmer,
hi. i just read your post. i was having "technical difficulity". the posts following my last one wern't coming through. anyhow, i seems to be fixed, and i'm so glad to read all the new ones. have yourguys seen the movie "return to me?" with david duchovny & minnie driver?(she needs a heart transplant) it was kind of hokey, but to me it made such a good point. how everyone who loved minnie, when she was so sick, they all prayed for her. there thoughts and energy were for her, and ofcourse she got her heart at the last minute. skimmer, you need to keep us informed about your sister, so we all here can be praying for her, and sending her energy. the least that could happen is that she feels loved. and wounded heart, thank you for your encouragment, it means alot. i think that so many "witnesses" really want to be giving, loving people, but are roadblocked in so many different ways. it feels so good not to have those in place anymore, dosen't it???

Request for Opinions
by patio34 ini requested that my sons (both jws) come to my home for a family meeting today.
had nothing to do with religion.
both of them know i don't go to meetings and that i have intellectual disagreement with wtbs.. son #2 said that before we begin the meeting, he would like to offer up prayer.

hello,
i want to thank everyone for the warm welcome and encouragment. skimmer, thank you for sharing your life with us. i'm sorry about your step-father, i know when someone passes, the ones who are left miss them terribly. and you poor mother, to deal with her husband and daughter. how long has your sister been on the transplant list? i know a liver is so much harder than a kidney. cant they do a partial liver transplant, do any of your family match? i atleast have dialysis 2X per week (i just reciently went from 3X, i almost have a life again) was your sister a witness? when you go through life and death, everything is different, isn't it? i would like to hear how your sister is doing every once in a while, i will be praying for her, and your family. take care skimmer

hi,
this is my first time posting on this board. i have been reading on the jw sight for a while now, though, and really appreciate seeing that there are others who feel and have gone through similar experiences. anyhow, i've been df'd for several years. i had several disigreements with especially the P.O.in our congreguation, he had such a controlling personality. the funny thing is that just before i got df'd, a sister helped me get a job at a local bank. i needed to have insurance on myself, my kids already had insurance. anyhow, i had no idea how many witnesses were working there, which i found out ofter i was df'd, ofcourse. so, it was an uncomfortable working enviroment, needless to say. then in may of last year, i had congestive heart failure, and was hospitlized. it ended up that i had kidney failure (because of lupus). well, since i just went through life and death, i prayed to god to let me know if i was wrong about being a witness, let me know in some way. well, at the end of the summer, i finally went home, and my dear sweet friend, who was a sister, shows up at my door. i said, "why are you here?", and she said "i'm sorry it took me so long." she started to come and visit me on a regular basis. then she told me an interesting story of how she and another sister (the one who helped me get my job) went to the elders and asked them to visit me in the hospital, since they couldn't go themself. and the elders replyed "why should we" CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT ONE???well, i would say that my prayer was answered, wouldn't you!!!!!alot of witness knew i was severly ill, and i'm a single mother with 2 teenagers, and no one came to do anything. now, thats showing the love jesus showed, isn't it? so, today, i'm doing much better, i'm working on getting on the kidney transplant list, and i'm so much happier not being in that judmental orginazation. i am greatful to have a place to post this also, keep up the good work everyone.
