Study carefully the word “crucify”. Be honest to yourself , not even close “ to the stake with him”. Gotcha

Time Indefinite
by StephaneLaliberte infrom a very young age, i was always annoyed by this translation time indefinite simply means: time that has not been defined.
where the new world translation uses "time indefinite", other translations use "everlasting" and "eternal".
honestly, it makes much more sense to me "everlasting" and "eternal" as "time indefinite" would leave room for god to define that time later on.

They are always trying to be different from other religions by changing simple phrases to something not uncommon, like Cross as torture stake and now something else. The worst example is Crucufy . to the stake with him is almost obscene

David karesh, when he was a teen ager ,use to spend many hours in his 2nd floor hay barn, studying his bible until one afternoon his mother came exasperated looking for him and yelled, “Jesus Christ will you come down from there!”. And from that moment onward, he thought he was Jesus...

Do you still debate with JWs?
by punkofnice ini was talking to an ex-jw.
not been out as long as i have.. cut a long story short, i came to realise that i can no longer be bothered to debate jws if (on the rare occasion), i have encountered them.. i think that because i am somewhere circling a nihilistic atheist it seems pointless.
i just don't have the energy because i rarely even think about jw related garbage.

Degree of Effectiveness of JW Letter Writing Form of Witnessing
by Disillusioned JW ina newspaper article quotes a jw as saying "every (letter) i put in the mailbox, i feel, 'ah, this could reach somebody.
'" the article also quotes her as saying "we are accomplishing even more now than we were door-to-door because this way everybody in the house gets a chance to pick up that letter and respond to it.
it just feels good.

I am still not able to solve this God's name paradox...
by psyco ini am finishing to read the entire bible (nwt 2013) for my first time (my fault) and i wrote down hundreds, maybe thousands, of questions not clear to me, but one especially came in my mind meditating on god's name.. if i wanted to summarize the entire bible in one phrase i would say (even before the kingdom): god’s name sanctification.. god is jealous about his name.
he does everything for the love of his name, and he wants to be called and prayed using his name.
no doubt about all this (repeated several times in the bible), but it involves the pronunciation of his name.. god left us his name in the form of יהוה which is unpronounceable.

Don’t you just cringe when you hear a Pharisee pretending to pray and using Joe Hoover 69 times in a 200 word chant.

List of Critical WTS Teachings
by Vanderhoven7 ini sent a list of statements about current wts teachings to a friend who is being carefully recruited by a seasoned witness.. hi em..... just a quick summary of what all “good” jehovah's witnesses believe...even though some of these things witnesses are not always willing to be transparent about.
this is your crash course.
i have quotations for every item listed if you want or need them.. witnesses believes that:.

Spelled out in plain and simple English makes their teaching appear foolish and just wildly out of the mainstream of thinking and reasonable adults with over a 3rd grade education.

Why did Jehovah choose false prophet apostates as his chosen earthly organization (1919) ?
by Rocketman123 infrom a theological and biblical perspective, this has to be asked and critically examined.. the doctrines this organization and its self described fdsl (gb) chosen ones has preached and taught have now more than ever have shown to be false teachings.. the bible warns of false prophets and those who say things that god has not given them to say but the wts from its earliest beginning made proclamations such as jesus's return in 1874.. so if one were to faithfully adhere to what the bible says and more so jesus's instructions for preaching his gospel of a new kingdom to come, who really are jws loyal to, the wts.
and its top leading men or jesus and jehovah ??

There have been so many "end times" religions that most people now just ignore them, simply by so many groups claim they have the only "key" to the kingdom. In reality they are delusional and the JW,s are at the top of the heap of these groups. They talk to their followers in 3rd grade language and boast or toot their own horn as if they were superior. Lett is perfect example of talking down to his people. When they show their colored illustrations of paradise, it reminds me of a kindergarten student showing off his coloring book and seeking grownup approval of something childish. I think that most people that fall for this religion are not very well educated and can be manipulated by seemingly knowledgeable leaders, who in effect are wolves in sheep's clothing.
