Vice doc spotlights Jehovah’s Witnesses

us cable network vice tv will debut an original documentary that claims to uncover corruption and abuse within the jehovah’s witnesses community.. vice versa: crusaders, which will air on july 28, is part of the channel’s vice versa brand, known for docs including fear of a black quarterback and the neglected pandemic.. the project comes from hollywood director aaron kaufman, who was shunned by his jehovah’s witness family after investigating paedophilia within the organisation.. crusaders is directed by kaufman and executive produced by lauren terp, as well as daniel levinson and robert fernandez for us-london prodco moxie pictures, and danny gabai and andrew freston for vice studios.

David Splane's apostate warning convention talk

i know this recent video has been talked about already but i just watched it and here are a few things that got me annoyed as usual:.

splane says that if a bible student says he saw some negative information from apostates and asks us to explain it, we shouldn't look at it or address anything specifically, but instead we should tell them to go to meetings and hear what we have to say about ourselves and also tell them to befriend people at the hall.

for any person with integrity and/or intelligence, this is not a satisfactory answer.

Whenever I see a documentary about the witnesses , I DVR them and turn it on at times when my spouse has company from her congregation over and see their reaction or how they defend the indefensible . 20 Years Occupying Afghanistan, Nothing Achieved

so the occupation of afghanistan is coming to an end and, as predicted, they achieved absolutely nothing in that 20 years apart from:.

the death of 2,300+ service personnel and tens of thousands more seriously maimed or injured.. handing $billions or even $trillions of taxpayer dollars to defence contractors (so the military industrial complex wins, even if the military doesn't have a clear victory).. has this lengthy but short-term military occupation really changed anything in the country?

it doesn't appear so.. i said at the time that the us wouldn't have the staying power to enact real change.

Feel sorry for all the women that discarded their burkas and those that tried to make it in fashion. They will all be rounded up and whipped and shot at the soccer stadium in Kabul. Just cant change a 5th century religion based on an old covenant made in a wilderness. Will never see any cart witnessing in that country.

What would happen if the Watchtower decided no more meeting at Kingdom Halls, only Zoom?

i’m seeing my hard core believing relatives slowly losing faith that the watchtower is the organization that “god” is using to represent him on earth.. just about all the churches in their area have opened up.. but not the watchtower.. this is having an affect on the faith of even the old timers.

now the only ones who are still holding the faith are the female jws and only those past 70 years of age.

even my old male jw relative past 70 are starting to say that it can’t be jehovah’s organization because the other churches are all open and god supposed organization who is supposed to preach the warning message is still closed with no open in sight.

The 80+ year old I talked about never had children, I assume because of believing all the JW hype thru the years and 10 years ago his pioneer wife was killed in a car crash by a drunk driver. If only there could be a class action lawsuit of behalf of all the seniors who were "cheated" thru lies of not having a family.

I know an 80+ year old in California, who has been a JW for over 50 years that hasn't been to a meeting since march of 2020 and doesn't remember how to connect to zoom each week. He has mild dementia and a few months ago he asked me if I had a gun he could borrow so he could shoot himself and go to the paradise he was promised so many years ago. I sensed he was not sincere, but he was lost without a place to go physically. I bet there are thousands of older JW,s who feel the same way. This organization is the most vile corrupt and misleading groups to have ever appeared on earth, to have lied and gotten away with it for over 100 years. If there was a Yahweh, he would have smitten this organization a long long time ago, along with Hitler, edie Amin, and a few others. I live across county so cant help him in person. No elder or brothers have reached out to him in over a year as far as He told me.
