But of course Tyndale believed in the cross, hellfire and the trinity so he'd be disfellowshipped.

Reaching the most distant parts - Geoffrey Jackson praising Bible translators and missionaries as "faithful ones" or even "anointed ones"
by TheWonderofYou inafter we heard some time ago that before the time of russel there was no "faitful slave" or no anointed ones who formed a faitful slave class, now we learn that we dont know if before russel there were not "faitful ones" or "anointed".
indeed jackson says that we know the bible teaches that throughout the history there would be a large number of "sons of the kingdom" ..or anointed ones.. beginning from this month in several projects including a film about christian bible translators who gave an example of "faithfulness" and "discretness" in translating the bible, the christian bibletranslators and missionionaries who used "jehovah" by the way are receiving ultimate praise of the governing body, in the first place at the moment is shown the video about tyndale, wo so is very much supposedly a "faithful one" and perhaps even "anointed" because he loved the bible.. jackson says that those early missionaries of the christendom already "preached the message" before russell.

Clearly, they're hunting down irregular publishers
by ILoveTTATT2 inlook at this graph:.
it has the % difference between the peak number of publishers and the average number of publishers for that year.
this number can only be positive.. what the graph tells us is that there is a clear trend towards hunting down inactive and/or irregular publishers.

I remember the announcement that we could now count 30mins/15mins in the ministry. Then lo and behold, the next yearbook shown that the ministry hours had shot up. Straight away i saw through that crap and wondered why our loving GB would need to stoop to that level. Now when you think about it, it also makes the inactive ones able to put in 15mins or so just to keep on them on the books.
Im quite glad my ministry reports were all fiction. Surely there's many more that do that?

Now I'm Convinced There Probably Is No God
by pale.emperor inyesterday i made a visit to the museum in my city.
the top floor is the planetarium, which has a connecting room with a huge dome ceiling where they project lessons and lectures and you have a 360 view of the night sky etc.. this particular lecture explained about our galaxy, and how it's only one of billions in the universe.
and then we learned about each planet, some of their moons and the sun.

So you are "certain" of the "confidence" of his non existence?
I'm sorry but until you remove the "probably" from your statement the atheist society cannot accept your membership application.
And as much as we want, we can not share our secret hand shake/fist bump with you nor invite you to our monthly gatherings wherein we mock believers and act all carnally.
Rules!
Woops! Sorry guys i've just noticed how that title doesn't even make sense.

Some apostates are coming across as crazed psychopaths
by jambon1 ini'm not sure whether or not my view on this is correct so please leave your input.
in recent months i've been viewing youtube videos.
again, it might just be my view but there has been an increased amount of random people grabbing a camera and doing vlogs.

I agree. My videos dont feature me, just video recordings of talks, little informational videos and Rutherford recordings of him putting his foot in it.
JW's would just love us to get all angry and confrontational with them. It just reaffirms their delusion that they're special like the apostles when they were "persecuted".

Has it dawned on them yet that most of us just made up numbers so as not to get looked down upon?
Yes, a blank report slip was my canvas. Only done an hour and no placements? Put down 6 hours, 14 mags and 3 books.
My ex wife never filled her report slip, she jus keft it to me to make up something believable on Thursday.

1917 - What REALLY happened?
by neat blue dog inregarding what happened post russell in 1917, if you ask a jw, they'll say it was the fault of the ousted board members who were 'self willed'.
if you ask an ex-jw, they'll say it was a 'power grab' by rutherford.
the latest yearbook elaborates on the situation:.

Crises of Conscience sheds clearer light on this. Can't remember the details but Rutherford used his legal knowledge to wrangle control of Russell's organisation despite Russell naming a successor (and it wasn't Rutherford). Even going so far as to ignore Russell's last will and testament, declaring it null and void.
It kinda reminds me of how Hitler took over the Nazi party despite Anton Drexler founding it.
And as for that Johnson selfishly self appointing himself, do. they mean kinda like the GB today? I don't remember voting for them, do you?

Before you start, I DON'T!!
http://www.healyourlife.com/do-you-believe-in-fairies
But i stumbled upon this article. I thought it was a joke, but it's not. These people actually believe in fairies and try to communicate with them.
Gotta love "Heather Macdonald's" comment at the end...

Marking Talks are back!?!?! - New Name!
by thedepressedsoul inwhen i was younger i used to hear about "marking talks" given in the past.
i believe they stopped in the 80's or 90's.
basically, if someone wasn't baptized or doing something unrepentant, they would get a "marking talk" and be treated the same as a df person.
-

Haven't heard a marking talk in years. Best one was about 6 years ago on "sexting". At the time the only teenager in the congregation was me... and i hadn't been doing any sexting. So i wonder which of the older ones where doing that? -

"...persists in a course that reflects badly on the congregation, such as dating an unbeliever."
Even though i was born and raised a JW and only left 7 months ago i nearly choked when i read that. It's so trivial and stupid. Just shows how far I've come from dismantling the indoctrination.
"Your loving concern and firm stand may move the person to abandon a disorderly course."
Yeah, poke your nose in where it wasn't asked and then act like a toddler by ignoring the person until he dumps the person he/she has feelings for just because you dont agree with it.

YB17 Promotes Child Baptism
by konceptual99 inaside from the statistics inthe new yb there are also a couple of cases of it promoting child baptism.. in the section about the young remembering their grand creator in georiga you will find this.... https://www.jw.org/en/publications/books/2017-yearbook/georgia/youth-remember-grand-creator/.
in support of parental training, elders try to involve young ones in congregation activities as early as possible.
nestori, who was baptized when he was 11 years old, states: “the elders gave me various small assignments from a very early age.

I remember when i was 10 and being told that one of our elders was baptized when he was 9. I was shocked. Then the rest of the book study group chirped in throwing excuses about "it's not common, that doesn't happen very often, he must have known the truth etc etc". They clearly knew it was wrong and were trying to defend it.
There's no way i'd be ok with my child getting baptized at 8, even if i was still a JW.
