So not only does god need a lawyer, but he needs one that will work for free?
He's all powerful, all knowing, all wise, yet somehow - just keeps getting himself into legal trouble.
we all know how much the watchtower abhors "higher education" and that apparently jehovah thinks it is a big waste of time.
at least that is their official stance.
it might come as a shock to you that this month they have started a campaign drive to actually recruit jws who have higher education, specifically those who have legal training.. with all the law suits against them for creating an environment that is friendly to paedophiles, it is thus no wonder that they are in need of solicitors, especially those who are sympathetic towards the cult.. talk about hypocrisy!.

So happy for you and your family. She's got a bright future ahead of her.

to all bodies of elders "handling cases of drug abuse".
september 1, 2018. to all bodies of elders re: handling cases of drug abusedear brothers: as noted below, the procedure for handling the misuse of marijuana and the abuse of medi- cal, illicit, or addictive drugs has been adjusted to harmonize with the procedure for handling the misuse of tobacco.
You just know that this letter has been written because someone on the GB is on the ganj for pain management. - pale.emperorMy bet's on Lett.
How would we know when he's high though? The man's out of his mind already.
former governing body assistant howie tran has shared his bethel vow of poverty contract.
it reads rather culty.
i think clause number 9 is particularly worrying...to adhere to, not the bible alone, but also the watchtower literature and the governing body.
Never even were asked about, and we signed the same vow. We were explained that it was just a tax thing. I never understood and still don't.
You never understood and you still signed?

The wording of the letter was very careful and deliberate - they didn't say "medical procedures are a conscience matter" because that would checkmate them when it comes to blood.
Anyway, bethel is going to have a sudden influx of glaucoma sufferers I think.
when i was a full-on believing jw i had an obsessive fascination with mormonism.
i read, studied and watched their propaganda with strange interest as well as their apostate mormon books.
i have to say, they have a good scam going claiming that "the lord reintroduced tithing" in the modern age.
We've already had Stephen Rubberface Lett telling us to "honour Jehovah with our valuable things" (which is a bit rich coming from a guy that blings up each time he's on screen).
Hell, they've even got them singing songs about it:
Maybe not this GB, but the next batch are bound to be bigger assholes. We've seen some of their "helpers", that's who we have to look forward to.
Give it 10 years, 20 years max and they'll be tithing. I know my family would do it.

It's my belief that the GB will introduce tithing outright eventually in my lifetime. It's just a matter of when and how they can spin it. 10% of your income tax free? That would cover their $4,000 a day fine with change left over. You'd probably bring in at least £5,000 per congregation per month. Given that there's around 62,000 KH's in the world that works out at over £300 million a month TAX FREE.
I bet the Bethel accounts dept are seething that old Rutherford didn't pull a scripture out of his ass back in 1931 to reintroduce it.
the rise and rise of paul gillies?.
here are a view details about the 57-year-old paul stuart gillies.. .
2011: appointed as a director of international bible students association (ibsa) on 2 november having resigned as a director of watch tower bible and tract society of britain on the same day.
Well, the original poster was correct. Gillies has moved to the USA to give advice to the GB, and has now started partaking.
LMAO!! This is priceless.
Just goes to show, those who partake must have massive egos to think that god has personally chosen them out of all the people throughout history to rule as a king and priest alongside Jesus.

I'm still looking for the cognitive dissonance in any of my posts.
Indoctrinated people do things of the own volition because they've been told certain things.
Forced people do things even if they don't want to.
Theres no way a person in their right mind would sign that form unless they've been convinced (indoctrinated) over time and led to believe the Watchtower society is gods org.
