  yeah, they'll leave it all, their home, savings, etc.. never mind helping out their struggling children who never had a chance.. fuck this organization and everything it stands for when its members think god will favor them more by willing everything to a corporation instead of their own struggling seed..

  That is sickening to hear they are planning on giving it all to the society. My grandma has donated to them for the last 40 years and now that she is in a nursing home, they haven't given her a dollar to help her out, they leave that up to the family or the state, just like they always have and always will do.

  i was just thinking about how the wts has been spouting off for years that satan and his demons were cast down to the vicinity of the earth in 1914, but really, when you think about it, what was the difference before 1914 or after 1914?.

  its not like satan and his demons did not have access to the earth.

  some people point out the subliminal pictures in the wtbts publications but sometimes things are just so obvious, such as the title of the book above.. the person who came up with the title for this book must have had a good old laugh.. interestingly, this book first came out in 1988 and has not been included in the online library but nothing has replaced it.

  the org is really going backwards when they ditch old light and cannot come up with anything new.

  i find it interesting that the other night they announced that literature is not to be left indiscriminately.

  they said to only leave literature if the householder engages you in conversation.

  it used to be that they would try to get any literature into every hand of every person.

It used to be that they would try to get any literature into every hand of every person. Even leaving magazines in the doors when no one was home. They must really be trying to cut back on expenses if they are wanting to only leave literature with people who will have a conversation.

  Also they are redoing the monthly publisher cards to include placements such as: videos shown at the door, videos emailed to others, anything published by the wtbs will be considered a placement (tracts).

  So what i gathered was that they can print and place less material, but keep their supposed numbers of placement up by counting videos emailed, or watched, or downloaded from their website. Oh boy, i can see the placement numbers increasing now! Laughable really.

  Are we participants in this forum because of bouts of "loneliness"?

  i wonder how many of us here hold on to this meeting place out of "loneliness.

  could it be that we harbor feelings of "abandonment" and "loneliness" from being left cold and dry by the wt people and our families?

  perhaps we do have a need to reach out to people with similar experiences.

  so i'm sure a good number of us saw the chart that i believe the poster splash put on another thread of figures since 1990 regarding how many baptized and % of increase each year .

  i started analyzing it ( and i know some referred to it briefly on the other thread ) and guessing of reasons the % of increase didn't match the number of newly baptized.

  and of course common sense tells us that either jw's leave the cult each year through death, fading into inactivity, or getting dfed.

  I remember at assemblies and conventions it used to be 15-20 baptized at assemblies and up to 60 at conventions. Now we have had 0-4 baptized at assemblies and I'm not sure at the conventions since i haven't been to one the past two years.

  It might be the best move for you. The new place you are going, people won't know you are a witness, and the place you are leaving, people may still think you are a witness and still talk to you when you come back to visit. Won't have to worry about any of the local jw's who know you catching you out with your boyfriend without a chaperone or going into an r rated movie.

  I'm sure Jesus would be buying big screens, multi million dollar mansions, promoting roku from stage, using credit card machines at assemblies, be broadcasting over the internet...etc. etc. The list could go on for days. And people really think its the true religion?
