I always wondered what was discussed at these meetings. The elders locally always seemed scared of the c.o. and dreaded when he visited. But that probably depends on the c.o. also.

Circuit visit elders meeting

historically the elders meeting with the circuit overseer has had the following format : outline for meeting including ministerial servants then, after they have been dismissed, discussion of local issues.
the last visit there was an additional outline for the elders only, the notorious "gender blurring" discussion.. you might wonder what is being discussed this time round, so here you are:.

Within 2 years I see... KH Karaoke...Seriously

this was not so odd.
however on the last elijah section pictures from the imitate their faith book was place on screen to imagine the scenes.

It wouldn't surprise me if they started that either. The peer pressure video was lame, now kids in school don't have to explain their beliefs (probably cause they can't) they just need to say NO to peer pressure. -

Even after a person is reinstated, some still choose to not associate with them or give them minumum love. Funny how everyone likes to talk about how forgiving they are until something personally happens to them, then its a whole other story. -

Car crash

the boy and his grandfather were jehovahs witnesses and they were on field service when a car drove into them.
the lad, who is the son of an elder who moved to a cambridge congregation to serve where the need is greater, was on life support before the sad decision was made to turn it off.

but, wanted to share recent conversation with jw family member.. one of my jw relatives recently went to visit another jw relative that is "serving where the need is great",.
when my jw relative returned home and i was talking with him, who is an older jw who has been in for over 50 years, was so excited to tell me about the special talk.

she was 32 y/o and has a 3 year old daughter.
her husband was driving home from meeting when his car slid off the road, came back on the road, and was broad sided by a truck.

Of course the funeral talk today turned into a way to preach to "worldly" people, and after the talk was over 3 announcements were given. The very first announcement was that if anyone was interested in learning more about what they heard, that they could speak to an attendant, get some literature from the counter, or go to the jw.borg website. -

and just learned last night they didn't cancel meeting because it was a brothers first public talk, and a bethelite made the trip from New York to see it. -
