First, the new G.B.'s are French and German. even though maybe still Gringos not the of the bleached kind.
Second, whether or not there is a hispanic G.B. there will always be rice and beans aaaaand muchos huevos and oatmeal at Bethel, I know I just returned.

Delicious song. Its been said Life is a dance. A quote that bears well on this subject is: "dancing dosn't lie in the technique but the passion".
My experience in religion has been all about the technique. Passion is stifled because those in the lead are dominant pragmatist with Western thinking. Not that practicality dosn't have a place but its not the only place. Life should be a way, a journey. The pursuit of truth is the truth. So as regards "I hope you dance", I hope we all dance with passion.

So much depends on the experience of the person and what he holds in his treasure chest. My reaction to being bound by the unyielding exegesis of the "Holy Ones" is to over due the freedom of voicing my opinion. As you may know during studies in J.W.s you, for the most part echo set teachings of the said F.D.S. Yes there is room to garnish the teachings but going outside the framework is apostasy. That built frustration up in me over the years and I think now I get carried away or perhaps let to much out at one time. The funny thing is when I was active as a Witness with talks etc. I was very non-agressive. But as for me, I like to stay away of trying to understand people by codes of ethics and preconceived ideas of behaivor. We are soo different. We are what we have lived and our lives have been so different. I did take the value of your wisdom to Heart and hope for your continued peace. i want to share a perspective, with everyone that comes here to read, for i feel it will take some of us in a new direction.
perhaps it will allow for some creative thinking and interesting discussion or maybe it simply wont go anywhere.

How about other writings of history that are in congruity with the nations happenings?
Is the fact that the details of the places and times of events are solid.
Could not the power that is seen in the Sun, the force of nature etc. also be harnessed toward feats of greatness, I.E. walking through a sea, sun appearing to stand still, mighty warriors that make the gladiator look weak etc. ....
Is the fact that there are other books of antiquity and wisdom proof that the Bible is Myth?

the question is about the term "tolerance" or "tolerating".. when someone says something along the lines of "i'm very tolerant of gay people" or "gay people should be tolerated", how do you feel?.
the reason i ask is this: doesn't the concept of tolerating something imply a background negative?
for instance, i can say "i tolerate my brother-in-law".

The meaning of tolerance in connection with homosexuals would depend on the context and/or attitude of the person using it, I guess. My observation is they say tolerate because although not agreeing or liking the lifestyle they don't hamper or block its continuance.

i dont think i believe in it in the same way that most believers do, which is that we keep coming back in different fleshly bodies until we have achieved perfection.. i do, however, strongly suspect that we may well be spirit creatures who find it necessary to inhabit a fleshly body from time to time, and that this entails us having to leave behind most of our past memories.. i say most memories, because many people seem to have some vestigal recollections that don`t seem to fit in with earthly experiences.. i`m pretty sure that i chose my parents!
i have a recollection of being shown a young and kind couple through some form of astral telescope and choosing to become their son.
