pimo , as i said i`m going out on a limb here and i might upset some people ,but i really don`t think this is a real strategy that works and doesn`t help the person who is still in.. while you may be doing this to keep the peace in the household and keep relations somewhat stable in the family arrangement ,it`s not helping the person who is still under the control of wt/gb to break free from it ,and isn`t that what you would really like to happen ?.

and are their children involved as well ?

that`s another issue ,the longer they are subject to this control the harder it will be for them to disengage get free.. maybe you should re-evaluate what you could do more to help your partner / spouse or whatever to free themselves from this bondage they have involved themselves in.. [ of course their may be others who are quite happy to have their partners/mates under the control of the wt/gb.

A young woman in an abusive relationship asked for my advice.

Although he has never hit her, her boyfriend orders her around and requires her to do many things for him.

She has also caught him in many lies, and if she calls him out on them he responds with wild accusations against her and then when they are alone he threatens her.

She says that he is not all bad and is often very kind to her, so she just does what he expects her to do and ignores the lies and threats. But lately his lifestyle is putting her life in danger.

He is also her brother's lifelong best friend and a close friend of the family and if she breaks up with him she fears causing a rift in the family.

What should i tell her?

(Ge 6:2; Ps 127:3) So they took human form so that they too could father children of their own. (Ge 6:4) Note that they only fathered sons. If they only wanted to have sex then there probably would have been both sons and daughters. Or possibly even no children at all since if having intercourse with beautiful women was their only goal you would think that they would try to be discreet and not draw attention to what they were doing. But instead they produced the nephilim that caused havoc and drew attention. (Ge 6:4) Perhaps the nephilim were even the main cause of the violence that made Jehovah decide to flood the earth. (Ge 6:11-13)"

What does "the mother of the prostitutes" mean according to WT?

[re p. 244] She is “the mother of the harlots” because all the individual false religions in the world, including the many sects in Christendom, are like her daughters, imitating her in committing spiritual harlotry.

So the lesser churches on earth, "all the individual false religions in the world" are her daughters. Therefore they are not "Babylon the Great". That term refers to their "mother".

thousands of years ago .. genesis chapter 11: 1-9 and how god was affected by what man planned to do ?.

build a tower into the heavens ?

their is no end to what he may acheive having only one language .. today, in the year 2022.. not only are modern skyscrapers taller than anything that could have been built with the tower of babel in bible times ,but what is acheivable today in space far exceeds anything that could have been acheived back then.. and god / jehovah is silent ?.

The original Hebrew word "shamayim" translated as "heavens" at Ge 11:4 is referring to the sky. You know, where the birds fly.

They wanted the tower to be tall so they could climb it if there was another flood. Their intent was not to reach the abode of God.

And it wasn't the tower that God was upset about. The problem was that they were going against His command to spread out and fill the earth. (Ge 1:28; 9:1)

They wanted to build a city and gather together in one place.

So what did God do? He confused their languages. And what was the purpose? To scatter them.

(Genesis 11:8, 9) Jehovah scattered them from there over the entire face of the earth, and they gradually left off building the city. 9 That is why it was named Baʹbel, because there Jehovah confused the language of all the earth, and Jehovah scattered them from there over the entire face of the earth.

Regarding atheists, in my opinion they can't be trusted. Not specifically because they don't believe in God, but because they believe in evolution.

Evolution is belief in survival of the fittest. One animal is not condemned for taking what another animal has. A lion is not condemned for killing another lion so he can take over his pride, or for killing the cubs so his can replace them.

If humans are nothing more than the result of survival of the fittest, than that process is still ongoing to an atheist. We are all just animals, so there is nothing wrong with taking what someone else has, even if you have to kill them to do it. It's just survival of the fittest.

A true atheists can't have a moral code because morality does not exist in the evolutionary process. In fact, it hinders it.

God Has Only One Visible Organization on Earth!

why is it important to some that god only have one visible organization to represent him on earth?

why is it important to jehovah's witnesses that people recognize their organization as such?

what makes a witness more moral or righteous or save-worthy if they accept that it is his one and only organization?

If Christ himself appeared to a JW in all his glory and said: “I am the one and only mediator between God and men. No one comes to the Father except through me." — (Jn 14:6; 1Tim 2:5)

Most JW's would look up into his bright and shinning face and say: "But you are not enough! We want a group of men to read the Bible for us and provide their own writings and interpretations for us to obey."

I think he would remind them of 1 Samuel 8:4-22.
