The JW view is that Jehovah kills everyone at armageddon for not responding to Wt literature and getting saved by being in the organization (ark). The biblical view is that Jesus returns to save the remnant of Israel that turn to him during this time. At the time of his return about 2/3 of earth's population will already be dead from wars promoted by the Antichrist.

Question about Jesus and Armageddon
by TheStumbler ini have a question about armageddon.. my understanding is that the watchtower teaches that only jws will survive armageddon.
following the great trubulation and time of trouble, when the world's forces turn on true religion (jws), god will step in an kill everone (apart from his true followers).. .
i've been talking to a jw recently who seems to be suggesting that the casualties will be due to human warfare in the great tribulation so will be man's fault - not jehovah's.

Leaps in Logic Reguarding The Faithful Slave of Matt:25:42-46 and The Governing Body Claim of Authority it Gives Them
by frankiespeakin indo you see anything even remotely in these scripture that fore tell a future slave that would dominate the rest of the slaves with a publishing company?
.
42 therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your lord will come.43 but understand this: if the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.44 so you also must be ready, because the son of man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.. 45 who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?46 it will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns..

King James Version:
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant , whom his lord hath made rule r over his household , to give the meat in due season ?
46 Blessed is that servant , whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing .When I was growing up, in our house the Wathctower Publishing House was referred to as "The Slave", as if it was a title. Naturally, I just copied what others around me used.
The KJV uses the indefinite article "a" instead of "the" for an accurate conveyance of meaning. It is astonishing to me how such an incredibly minor word difference can be used to rob God of his authority and set up an idol in his place.
Truly, humans are EASILY fooled.

God, the Creator of all things, is our Sovereign, Wise, Almighty and Eternal King.... Jesus, the Son, gave His Life to free us from guilt and judgment. He loves and guides us...He is the source of "Good"
God is a crutch or illusion
An impersonal universal god (pantheism) makes all things one (monism). All religions must be reformed and adapted as models for a new unifying global spirituality. A return to Pre-Flood Paganism
Emphasizes oneness & unity in Christ
(doesn't include the Cults)
Emphasizes human self-sufficiency
Emphasizes the collective: Individuals have value according to their contribution to the "Greater Whole"
Teaches internal, moral, personal responsibility toward God & neighbor
Teaches external human rights
Teaches collective duties or responsibilities
Don't tolerate sin (but love sinners)
Tolerate all lifestyles
Don't tolerate dissenters (zero tolerance, dissenters are dealt with harshly)
Trust God
Trust human reason

There is most assuredly a judgment in the afterlife.

I guess some people feel utter misery in their lives? They feel unsatisfied no matter what they have. They do not believe that there will be a judgment of their lives after they are gone, much less punishment. Life is meaningless. Many drink and smoke themselves to a slow death, those never make the news. A few take out the most innoncent among us to be vindictive?
I'm just rambling ..... this is all just so far over the top, my brain can't get around this.

A thought experiment about what it means "to be" GOD
by Terry inall believers in god begin with the premise that he is the creator.. but-stop!.
go back one step.
what about before god was a creator.. creation is the "beginning" for the created--but--not for god.. .

Entirely Possible,
Naturalism can only take you back so far in a cause and effect digression. At some point, something outside this universe tanscended it and initiated the "First Cause". If you've got another explanation I'd like to hear it.

Fossil fuel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search "Oil and gas" redirects here. For other uses, see Oil and gas (disambiguation).
Coal, one of the fossil fuels.
Fossil fuels are fuels formed by natural processes such as anaerobic decomposition of buried dead organisms. The age of the organisms and their resulting fossil fuels is typically millions of years, and sometimes exceeds 650 million years. [ 1 ] Fossil fuels contain high percentages of carbon and include coal, petroleum, and natural gas. [ 2 ] They range from volatile materials with low carbon:hydrogen ratios like methane, to liquid petroleum to nonvolatile materials composed of almost pure carbon, like anthracite coal. Methane can be found in hydrocarbon fields, alone, associated with oil, or in the form of methane clathrates. Fossil fuels formed from the fossilized remains of dead plants [ 3 ] by exposure to heat and pressure in the Earth's crust over millions of years. [ 4 ] This biogenic theory was first introduced by Georg Agricola in 1556 and later by Mikhail Lomonosov in the 18th century.
So the standard bloviation is thus: coal takes millions of years to form, EXCEPT in those areas where trees vertically penetrate multiple coal sediments. Since obviously those trees weren't standing in tact for millions allowing the coal to form around them, then only in those instances was a flood involved and rapid coal formation happened. Everywhere else, where there is not obvious evidence to the contrary, coal formed differently over vast periods of time and a flood was not involved.
Millions of years is a fairy tale for adults. It is not scientific as these door knobs embedded in coal illustrate.
It is sad to see folks exit one small dictitorial cult only to enter into a much larger one.
