JW's Unanswerable Question & Why Doesn't Everyone Take Them to Task For This?
by Perry inthe one question that is absolutely unanswerable by jehovah's witnesses that actually understand their own doctrines is this:.
can you show me even one new testament scripture that shows how a person can get their sins forgiven while outside of the new covenant?.
most of us are familiar with the one proof scripture that has all the necessary elements tied together into one neat doctrine - matther 26: 27,28:.

Although I am not a believer, I feel this is a great theological argument, thanks Perry.
You're very welcome Emery. I hope you get a chance to use it to help free someone dear to you.

Searcher,
I totally agree. The way Romans 6: 7 gets bandied around in JW circles is in my opinion the saddest example of JW ignorance. If they would only read the next chapter!
"So, my brothers, you also were made dead to the Law through the body of the Christ, that you might become another’s, the one who was raised up from the dead, so that we should bear fruit to God.5 For when we were living according to the flesh, the sinful passions that were awakened by the Law were at work in our bodies to produce fruit for death. 6 But now we have been released from the Law, because we have died to that which restrained us"
JW's seem Hell-Bent on saving themselves and are just not satisfied with God doing it for them.

Excelllent link to the Watchtower position on the matter Bats....thank you.
The JW has the same choice of whom to believe just as our first mother had. He can choose to believe men who claim that "somehow" they can be declared righteous while at the same time personally rejecting the Blood Covenant that makes them righteous.
Or, they can believe God:
“Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. - John 14:6
“Most truly I say to you, the one who does not enter into the sheepfold through the door but climbs in by another way, that one is a thief and a plunderer....So Jesus said again: “Most truly I say to you, I am the door for the sheep. - John 10: 1&7
Any JW who tries to get into God's favor by going around Jesus' blood covenant is seeking to steal something from God.....his office as a lone Savior. He is a thief and a robber. Furthermore, just to expound a little bit here: Justice sometimes takes into account the victim of the theft. For instance, if a thief steals from another thief, a judge might hand down a different sentence than say if a thief stole something from a widowed mother who is trying to raise her children and a couple orphans she also adopted. Similary, God provided this explicit warning to JW's who so carelessly treat the New Covenant with such a causual, academic interest.
How much greater punishment do you think a person will deserve who has trampled on the Son of God and who has regarded as of ordinary value the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has outraged the spirit of undeserved kindness with contempt [disrespect]? Heb. 10:29

Why remove John 8:1-11 in the NWT if these verses speak highly of Jesus
by I_love_Jeff ini understand these verses were removed in the nwt as well as some other bibles because they were added later & considered uninspired.
jesus protected an adultress so why remove it?
it fits in nicely with his teachings, does it not?

Evidence for John 7:53-8:11 (Manuscripts including, or referring, to this passage)
Didascalia Apostolorum (Syriac quotation from the account, circa 3rd century. Does not state what gospel, if any, it was in) End Note 8
- D (Bezae Cantabrigiensis, 5th century)
- Papias of Hierapolis (refers to a story of Jesus and a woman "accused of many sins" circa 125 A.D.) End Note 2
- Didymus the Blind (refers to the passage being found in "several gospels", lived circa 313-398 A.D.)
- Pacian (370 A.D.) cites the passage. End Note 10
- B (Vaticanus, circa 4th century, which didn't include the passage, marked the end of chapter 7 with an "umlaut" indicating that an alternative reading was known)
- Jerome (says that the passage was found in "many Greek and Latin manuscripts" in Rome and the Latin West, late 4th century)
- Many other Latin Fathers including Ambrose End Note 7 , John Chrysostom, and Augustine (all speak of the passage as being canonical. Augustine claims that some may have excluded it earlier to avoid the idea that Christ had sanctioned adultery, 4th and 5th centuries) End Note 12
- A majority of the Old Latin and Latin Vulgate (perhaps mostly due to Jerome's influence)
- Apostolic Constitutions (alludes to the account, late 4th century; document partially based on the Didascalia Apostolorum)

The one question that is absolutely unanswerable by Jehovah's Witnesses that actually understand their own doctrines is this:
Can you show me even ONE New Testament scripture that shows how a person can get their sins forgiven while outside of the New Covenant?
Most of us are familiar with the one proof scripture that has all the necessary elements tied together into one neat doctrine - Matther 26: 27,28:
(All scripture references are from the NWT)
"And taking a cup, he offered thanks and gave it to them, saying: “Drink out of it, all of you, for this means my ‘blood of the covenant,’ which is to be poured out in behalf of many for forgiveness of sins."
So, here we have the cup + all of you + the blood + the covenant = the forgiveness of sins. You must be part of the blood covenant to get to the sin forgiveness part.
And of course the back up scriptures are Eph. 1:7 By means of him we have the release by ransom through the blood of that one, yes, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his undeserved kindness.
And also Hebrews 9:22 " unless blood is poured out no forgiveness takes place."
The biblical message is clear : no blood , no forgiveness of sins. But JW's somehow have it stuck in their head that they can have access to the blood without being part of the blood covenant.
Not one NT scripture supports this. Even JW's admit that this was new light that got brighter and was not a first century doctrine. However the apostle Paul warned that even if an angel from heaven preached a "good news" different from the one they preached, "let him be accursed" . (Gal. 1:8) How could they possibly get out of that one?
But getting back to the main point here; I have had JW's somehow point to the great crowd that survive the Great Tribulation as proof evidence that you can be saved without being part of the blood covenant. But upon examination, that scripture reads just the opposite:
Rev. 7: 14 These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
So here we have the Great Crowd who are also part of the blood covenant and have been declared righteous just as the 144,000 Jews previously had.
I say it's high time every JW is taken to task for this glaring hole in their errant theology because by rejecting the New Covenant, they are not included in ANY group that gets saved.

The Sudden Catastrophic Collapse of Evolutionary Time
by Perry ini have met dr. gentry personally and found his reasearch on readio-halos fascinating.
it has been unanswered in published scientific journals, though lots of unscientific "just so" theories abound on the internet.
this video is a nice overview of several processes that are in much conflict with the worldview of materialists.

I will read later Adamah. On the way out the door. I'll be having lunch today with a friend of mine who was a fighter pilot & who also obtained his doctorate in asto-physics. He also believes in a young earth. I'll ask him what he has to say on this.
Thanks for the link...looking forward to reading it later.

The critiques seem to simply deny that they are Polonium Halos
"But how do we know that they really are polonium halos? Answer: the polonium halos are readily identified by the numbers of rings, and the sizes of those rings (figures 4–7). This has been confirmed by experiments. 5,6"
Here's the problem with this discovery:
The implications are astounding. First, the polonium halos required an abundant supply of polonium, in fact, an amount equivalent to 100 million years of radioactive decay of uranium, at today’s rates. However, all this polonium had to be available quickly, before it could decay away. That is, it all had to concentrate within hours, or a few days at the most. Therefore, the polonium halos mean that 100 million years of radioactive decay of uranium (at today’s rates) occurred in just a few days! In other words, the radioactive decay of uranium was formerly up to a billion times faster than it is today!
Gentry has claimed that his experiments have never been successfully refuted in a published scientific journal.
