- Why do Jehovah Witnesses hate when you bring up going to Jesus?
For the same reasons that some atheists on this board hate it I guess.

So what's the deal with A&E?
I don't know. All I know is that the bible doesn't teach that I'll be judged for something they did.
i know this is one huge rant, but i want to put my own questions and doubts in writing.. i am a fading jw who has become agnostic... i still believe in "god" and "jesus," but i simply cannot explain to people why i believe in them.
i just do.. about the existence of god: it is an infinite regress.
"all things were created by someone"... well... who created god?
That stated, I don't suppose you'd be interested in a small flightless dinosaur (theropod) that was the size of a kit fox that eventually turned into buzzards? There's been a TON of incredible fossils found in China within the last decade or so that reveal intricate details of wings and characteristic features of dinosaurs (add this to the famous archaeopteryx species specimens found over the last two centuries):
Adamah,
The infamous archaeopteryx isn't necessary for this discussion. Can't you provide at least one scientific example of where one "kind" turned into a different "kind" of animal. Surely science could accomplish something this simple if it happened millions and millions of times by accident.

designs,
As I have pointed out to you numerous times, to no avail I might add; Your position is an impossibility. Your view is (paraphrased) : If there is a God, he doesn't judge sin. Of course this contradicts the notion of an All-Benevelent God which is inherent in the definition of "God".
Somehow you fail to realize that an all-good God that doesn't judge sin, would be in actuality an enabler of sin becauses he chooses not to judge it.... allowing it to perpetuate endlessly. Thus your all-good God that you must reference to even have this discussion, is by your definition not all-good.
This is most illogical.

I personally have a problem with god condemning all of us for the sin of two people
Thankfully the bible doesn't teach this.
Excellent references Bobcat.... thanks

The Silver fox experiment, The foxes were tamed, and they evolved into dogs with different colour fur and shaped noses
So one Canine turned into another Canine? That doesn't sound like Darwinian Evolution Macro-Evolution to me. Now, if someone could get a Fox to turn into Buzzard, I could get on board with that.

If there is no personal Judgment after you die, then Jesus' sacrifice is meaningless.
The WT seeks to destroy this truth several ways:
1. Your soul is not conscious of anything after you die - even though Rev. 6: 9 reads otherwise:
When he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those slaughtered because of the word of God and because of the witness they had given. They shouted with a loud voice, saying: “Until when, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, are you refraining from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth? - NWT
2. You get a clean slate just by dying (Opening Post Subject)
3. Jesus didn't die for you personally; He died for Adam - This is in spite of WHO the bible says Christ died for:
The one who did not know sin, he made to be sin for us [Not Adam], so that by means of him we might become God’s righteousness. 2Cor. 5 (NWT)
4. They teach that we are living in Judgment Day Now - This in spite of the fact that the Bible says you get judged AFTER you die:
"it is reserved for men to die once for all time, but after this to receive a judgment" - Hebrews 9: 27 (NWT)

Thank You designs.
Yes, it is nice to experience the freedom to discover historic Christianity free from the pesecution ot the Watchtower.

Thanks Searcher. 1982 was the most recent example you posted. I wonder if they've beat that drum since then?
The context makes it hard to believe that anyone woud except that teaching.
ok so you had a bad experience and you stopped going to church which ever one that is.
but did you stop believing or are you that peeved you blame god etc.
i would encourage you to humble yourself before your messiah and seek him, he will let himself be found by you and come dwells within you.
I sought God through the methods of the Watchtower strenously for 8 years. It didn't work. I didn't get mastery over the things that the first century Christians did. I didn't experience a "new life in Christ". It was all about will-power and I was exhausted. It was very easy to become agnostic afterwards. I guess it was hard for me to swallow that all my efforts at pleasing God were rejected by him.
It was not a natural next step for me to put my trust in Christ Alone. Yet, I eventually did it anyway basically because nothing else was working. If a person seeks him (Jesus); he will be found to be very much alive.
