  1. the continuity and visibility of the church.

  the true church must be continuous from the apostolic age.

  there is no room in christianity for a "gap" or interruption of thousands of years during which true christianity ceased to exist and then was revived in the form of another movement.

  in one sense it’s a no brainer because the figures just don’t add up any more.. in another (negative) sense it’s a no brainer because it’s been fundamental to jws since year dot and might undermine the whole thing?

  Lol, when I was a kid I read Roald Dahl's "The Witches."

  In that book there was an Annual Meeting of horrid ladies who ate children while publicly claiming to be "The Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children."

  Kinda reminds me of the Watchtower Annual Meeting!😜

  The Date for the Memorial is WRONG this year!

  an interesting video was on youtube with a person claiming that the memorial date for 2024 was wrong.

  so i consulted three different jewish calendars online and sure enough, he appears to be right.

  i went back to 2014 and forward to 2027. they have the future dates listed.

  (Of course, their whole Watchtower way of doing the Memorial is based on straining out the gnat and gulping down the camel. A person can be faithful to God and a follower of Christ without ever having partaken of any emblems.)

  @George, do you know who this guy in the black suit is? That's one of the ones we're trying to figure out. He doesn't look like Macmillan. Many of the "Annual Meeting" voting members are unknown to "the rank-and-file."

  All Christians are "anointed" with holy spirit if they are truly followers of Christ. It's not possible to follow Christ without being anointed with holy spirit.

  The problem is with the English word "anointed." It has more than one meaning and the context of the original language word it's translated from needs to be considered.

  David was anointed to be king, but he wasn't anointed to become a spirit creature.

  Samson was anointed with holy spirit that empowered him but he wasn't anointed to be king.

  The priests in ancient Israel were anointed for a priestly assignment but they weren't kings.

  The people of Israel of old as a nation were anointed for a specific purpose at that time but they weren't anointed to be spirit creatures.

  The Watchtower and other denominations have scrambled the brains of people as to the meaning of "anointed" in Revelation.
