What evidence is there for a biblical jesus?
by Touchofgrey inis there any independently verified evidence that a miracle worker called jesus existed and did the things that the bible said he did?.
the four gospels were written by unknown authors many decades after the so called events, so can't be considered as eyewitness accounts.
i think that there may have been a apocalyptic preacher who was executed by the romans and the story evolved from their.

He sent messengers to announce his arrival in advance.
You don't have to listen.
But you can't say he didn't let you know he was on the way.

"abstain and die!"- WTBTS
by hamsterbait ini find it amazing that the wtbts says that you should refuse blood, even if it could save your life.. look at the apostle paul.
he knew the injunctions of acts 15 - yet by his own admission in his letters to the corinthians admitted that he bought meat sacrificed to idols and ate it.
so would he have refused this meat if he were about to die of hunger?.

No human lives forever at present.
Not one.
All humans are either dead or dying.
There is no blood transfusion that can save a person from dying.
Only Jehovah can give a person everlasting life.
Only God can make a person live forever.
There are half wits in the world who don't realize they're already as good as dead and rather than accept the only blood that saves they choose the blood of the already dead.
The dead cannot give life.
Jesus is alive. He can give life because he has it.
The blood industry is based on harvesting the vulnerable for their bodily fluids in order to sell it and make a killing. "When you really distance yourself from it, it all looks so very very smart and dangerous."
If you want to be "free advertising" for a bloodguilty and abusive industry, then you really are a half wit.
Watchtower is bloodguilty for promoting the blood industry.

Where is Tony?
by Athanasius inon february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.
a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.
in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

I don't know if you noticed, @ThomasMore, but the ๐ฉicon has a smiley face on it.
Maybe if you stop standing upside-down you'll see things more clearly.๐

About a year ago, when someone said Watchtower would fall because Jesus is tearing it down at Jehovah's command, no one believed it. They said it was practically impossible.
A lot has changed in a year.
When Watchtower is dissolved, will you still deny that Jesus had it torn down?
What about when you see the governments dissolved?
Are you going to wait until you actually see Jesus in the flesh? (He is coming back again in a materialized body.)
Will you wait until then? You can if you want to. But in my opinion, you'll be happier if you get some things taken care of now. He is showing up whether you are ready or not. By "getting some things taken care of" I don't mean physical things. I just mean that all of us have stuff we are working on as regards our relationships and lifestyle. When we didn't know Jehovah or Jesus, we lived a certain way.
When Jehovah was coming to visit Mount Sinai, the people washed their clothes and cleaned up a bit.
If you have a heads up that company is coming, it's kind of nice.

I am not against using God's name in different forms, or Jesus' name in different forms.
There have been times that I have just signed "JH" in ASL when talking to Jehovah.
It's not the pronunciation that counts. When I pray to God silently, He still knows I'm talking to Him.

Moses was taught in all the language and writing of the Egyptians.
Aaron lived in Egypt his whole life up to the point of the Exodus.
Those men went in to Pharaoh and spoke to him about Jehovah the God of the Hebrews.
They used Jehovah's name in Egyptian.
God's name translated into Egyptian hieroglyphics can be found at the Temple of Soleb in Sudan dating from prior to 1300 BC. It's a translation and not just a transliteration of the Tetragrammaton. If it was a transliteration, there would be two of the same glyphs. But instead, there are four different glyphs: ๐ ๐ ๐ ฑ๐ฏ

(Incidentally, @Duran, there is no "v" in Egyptian hieroglyphics, but that didn't stop Jehovah from making His name known to Pharaoh. In Egyptian. Before Pharaoh died for being an unrepentant stiff-necked opposer of "He Who Causes To Become.")
"How do you feel about the use of the name Jehovah now?"
"Call on Jehovah, while He is near!"
"The day of Jehovah is near, and He is making an accounting!"
"Repent, and call on the name of Jehovah, that seasons of refreshing may come and peace๐through Christ Jesus, the Son of Jehovah God and the appointed savior of all those putting faith in him."

Perhaps you have read this verse before:
"A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent his angel and presented it in signs..."
What exactly are these "signs"? They are word pictures.
In a court of law, how is evidence presented? Most evidence is presented in words.
Words are a form of "signs." Language itself is not "tangible" in the same way that physical items you can touch are tangible. You can measure sound and speed and inflection, but the way language works is by symbolizing something else.
I can tell you you're about to be run over by a bus, but if you don't want to heed the warning, it doesn't matter how much I tell you about the evidence I've seen. If you want to stand in the road, you're going to stand in the road.
