Why are JW's THIS blind?
by BoogerMan ini had a conversation about this 22 carat gold contradiction with a couple of zealous jw's a couple of days ago.. even their personal "explanations" contradicted each other as they tried justify their cognitive dissonance!.
an absolute delight to witness such absurdity.. "after all, no one will be allowed to practice vile things in the new world.
the unrighteous must have practiced these vile things [john 5:29] before their death.

@ DJW - thanks for your opinion on what you think the WT is saying regarding "practicing" evil deeds, and that you agree with it. From what I've researched, the org repeatedly & emphatically stresses that evil deeds will be practiced by resurrected folks.
I'm ready to defend myself in the new world from the lowlifes who will continually perform evil deeds.
Revelation 2:27, 12:5 & 19:15 need to be revised: ". . .and he will shepherd the people with an
iron rodfeather duster. . ." -

@ ExBethelite & DJW - Just to be clear, are you saying that during the millenium some people will practice evil deeds, (the act of doing something regularly or repeatedly) or they won't?

@ exBethelite - "It’s not a contradiction..."
Paragraph 19 states categorically that the evil deeds will be practiced in the new world.
Paragraph 14 states categorically that evil deeds will not be practiced in the new world.
Call me pedantic, but I see a monstrous contradiction with these two "truths." That's the best I've got.
The JW's indoctrinated fantasy about the millenium & the resurrection can be hard to flush away.

Rattigan350 said, "You are missing the point. The wages of sin is death, so when someone dies, the sin is paid for."
Nope - you are missing the point, by agreeing with the JW dogma which falsely aligns Romans 6:23 with verse 7.
Verse 27 states a fact - that sinning results in death. No argument, but how are sins then forgiven/erased?
Exchanging the figurative meaning of verse 7 for a literal one invalidates the purpose of Christ's death - as well as every scripture which shows how forgiveness is attained. (some quoted)
Not a single verse says a person's own physical death results in forgiveness of their sins.
(Matthew 26:28) ….for this means my ‘blood of the covenant,’ which is to be poured out in behalf of many for forgiveness of sins.
(Mark 1:4) ...preaching baptism in symbol of repentance for forgiveness of sins.
(Luke 1:76, 77) But as for you, young child, you will be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go ahead of Jehovah to prepare his ways, to give knowledge of salvation to his people by forgiveness of their sins,
(Luke 24:46, 47) ...that the Christ would suffer and rise from among the dead on the third day, and on the basis of his name, repentance for forgiveness of sins would be preached in all the nations...
(Acts 2:38) “Repent, and let each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins...
(Acts 5:31) God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
(Acts 10:43) To him all the prophets bear witness, that everyone putting faith in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”
(Acts 13:38) ...that through this one a forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you,
(Acts 26:18) ...so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those sanctified by their faith in me.' [Jesus]
(Ephesians 1:7) By means of him we have the release by ransom through the blood of that one, yes, the forgiveness of our trespasses,...
(Colossians 1:13, 14) …his beloved Son, by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins.

Would I be disfellowshiped for this?
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inif a publisher openly told the elders that they thought the gb were wrong about some or a lot of things, but said they will not share these thoughts with anyone else then would this be a case of disassociation disgfellowship?.
my guess is lots of elders meetings and shepherding calls to try to get you to say something they could use against you.. but what would be the sin in which you are not repented?.
the only reason to be dissed is non repentance?.

Openly speaking to elders about anything which questions/contradicts the JW "golden calf," will trigger a whole heap of trouble for an individual. Bought the T-shirt.
Elders can & do diss JW's for various excuses.

disfellowshipped for having a personal opinion based on WT
by Leslie inin 2008 i was baptized into the truth after leaving a trinitarian faith.
during my eight years as a jehovah’s witness, i strived to keep the standards set by the bible, wt and the faithfull and discrete slave.
but unfortunately, the congregational elders from the kingdom hall i attended were not keeping to jehovah’s standards, hence, wrote my letter of resignation.

Welcome Leslie. I went a good bit further than you did: when I started to 'see' certain teachings conflicted/opposed what the Bible actually said, I shared them with the whole congregation via the WT study or Sevice Meeting Q&A items.
I always quoted scriptures to confirm what I was saying. Not once was I ever questioned by elders at the end of any meeting.
