Many Bible translators appear to have a penchant for inserting the word "worship" whenever the Greek word προσκυνέω appears. (Proskyneō)

Definition: Proskyneō - in the NT by kneeling or prostration to do homage (to one) or make obeisance, whether in order to express respect or to make supplication, used of homage shown to men and beings of superior rank.

The NWT does it as well:

(Revelation 19:10) "At that I fell down before his feet to worship him. But he tells me: “Be careful! Do not do that! I am only a fellow slave of you and of your brothers who have the work of witnessing concerning Jesus."

(Revelation 22:8) "Well I, John, was the one hearing and seeing these things. When I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing me these things."

Are we to believe that an apostle of Christ would try to worship an angel - twice???????? Or was he trying to exhibit -

Obeisance - a movement of the body expressing deep respect or deferential courtesy, as before a superior; a bow, curtsy, or other similar gesture.

New light on including people you have rejected for 27 yrs😳

can anyone point me in the direction of articles to read about the “new light” about hanging out with family members who are not believers?

i left when i was 20, i was disfellowshipped for five years, went back to it for family and left again shortly after.

i never got disfellowshipped again so that i could talk to my parents.

Never once in the Ministry School (or anywhere else!) was I ever told by "the slave" that I had to offer people the hope of two future destinies.

As such, my ministry was a failure, because it was not fully accomplished: 2 Timothy 4:5 - "...do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry."

Society got it's claws on ex-jw activst in Finland

ex-jw activist jari-pekka peltoniemi got in trouble when fighting against borg in finland.. mr peltoniemi was on teams meeting and made the content public.. albeit the meeting itself is public the appeal court (peltoniemi won in district court) took the stand that it a private not public matter.

mr peltoniemi published the information first without blurring the faces of the elders but blurred them later on.

apparently it was too late.. legal fees are around 20 000 eur which are bit too much for a person living with modest pension.. it needs to be pointed out that it was mr peltoniemi who informed the finnish data ombudsman about the way jws do notes or rather "public data bank" when they do their perching activity.

Hence it is not too hard for clever propagandists to make us think their thoughts are ours. They plant the thought and nourish it, but do it so subtly that we think it is our own. (2 Cor. 4:4) We should know the clever tricks of Satan's propagandists. They are many, but to mention just one, unsavory labels (like, 'apostate'?) are stuck on anything that they oppose.....But to be pushed around by such social pressure, to be shoved and maneuvered by a fear of labels, is to show a pathetic immaturity, an inability to think for ourselves, a lack of intelligent convictions. We should gain accurate knowledge for ourselves, “in order that we should no longer be babes, tossed about as by waves and carried hither and thither by every wind of teaching by means of the trickery of men. Why be tricked by crafty men into adopting their thoughts, especially when those men have themselves been snared by Satan and pumped full of his poisonous subtleties? Why allow yourself to be brainwashed by dupes oblivious to their own mental bondage?"
