Siam: When I downloaded that artical 2-3 months back I showed that paragraph to my daughter and she was surprised they would put that in there.
But as we all know Most jdubs will hardly even notice it. Some sisters will notice it and keep quiet because what the G.B. tells them is ultimate gospel.

Hell, let's cut to the chase, the real first president should have been Russell's wife Maria. She was the real brains of the operation.
She was the "Associate editor" of Zion's watchtower. She authored and edited watch tower articals. Co authored the first four books of the Studies in the scriptures. C.T.Russell was brain dead in my opinion.

a net loss of 20 branches in 2 years.. they are selling off kingdom halls, here and there - sometimes packing several congregations into one hall where one per building was the rule.not compassionate where weather or other traveling factors could injure publishers..... and they're selling off some assembly halls, too.. brooklyn et al is being sold - and you already know about all the many cutbacks, layoffs and the downsizing of magazines.. why?.

Clarity: Your hypothesis sounds very realistic to me. Could also be used as a mass suicide building for the BORG faithful in the future, and of course the G.B. will be long gone drinking margarita's on the beach in the Caribbean.
