I have to laugh when Watchtower frowns on Higher Education and then ask if any of the "Brothers " have degrees in legal or Technical Disciplines. They cry like little Bitches when someone in the Kingdumb Hall gets an education or tries. But ooh, it's a different story when they need something.

Youths who gave up amazing lives
by JohnR1975 inwhen i was growing up i remember many young people interviewed on the platform at assemblies.
the ones who really stood out are the talented ones who gave up amazing lives to pioneer.. i remember specifically when i was a boy in the 70s and 80s some who were very good at sport or something.
their teachers begged them to get professional training use their talents to the full.

Green Handshakes - Taxable income in Australia
by Listener ini was doing some research on the taxable status of money being gifted to co’s and travelling missionaries and was surprised with what i found.
i had assumed that it was not taxable income in australia.. it is taxable income in australia and it‘s likely that the same rules apply in some other countries.. a registered religious institution only receives tax free status on donations because they have been endorsed by the australian tax office.
travelling overseas and missionaries are not in this category.. there’s a tax ruling that goes into great detail.

Though my younger life as a Jw, I worked for some Jw's that had businesses. My experience with working with Jw's is a horrible. Most of them were cheapskates and did most outlandish things not to pay taxes.

Inviting People to Meetings
by HereIam60 inthe current memorial invitation campaign got me thinking about the few times over the years that someone i invited to a meeting actually came: .
1) once when i was "new", i invited a friend to a sunday meeting.
neither of us drove, so the brother conducting my study picked us up.

Blondie- I have been out for many years. I have become very successful in life without Jw's. It seems now these people want me back so bad. I don't read any mail from them, will not take any calls or answer the door when they are out. Seems like they want my success to fill their coffers.

Blondie- Did you ever experience what was like a "class" system in the Kingdumb Hall? If you were not part of the upper class, you were treated badly. Seems like in every Hall there was this class system.

I remember when someone from my school showed up at the meeting. I pulled him aside and told him to quit the study and get out. You don't want this! Even when I was young I was Pimo.

Jwism doesn't do shit for you in the real world. The leaders don't have a pulse as to real world experience.

Fallen, winter- "Truth" is an oxymoron in Jwism. The more research ( not using Watchtower information only due to Bias) you will soon see the holes of nonsense.

My Dad was soon appointed to be an elder, he was doing everything right, except giving out those green handshakes He was never appointed.
