Re read the right leaning Examiner's coverage again. Not 15% of immigrants are terrorists. Rather 15% of the FBI's overall investigations focus on immigrants. I'm glad they're investigating, that's what they do. But not 15% of immigrants are terrorists. The title of the article is misleading.

It appears to me that much of the wave of immigration can be traced back to the Syrian civil war and the West's inability/refusal to really deal with an obvious crisis. I understand how war weary the US and others are, but if there were ever a reason to go to war, it seems to me that Assad's regime deserves to be ended.
Years later, now that Russia has taken a side, there is no real hope for those people and the mass immigration will continue, no doubt fueling nationalistic sentiments.
How does western civilization claim the moral high ground, while ignoring suffering at the hands of a dictator, then turn around and deny these people refuge?

by I quit! inone thing over the years social media has made me painfully aware of is how many times i see someone use the phrase "i'll pray for you" and the outcome is bad.
recently a friend of mine who at one time was my manager where i worked got cancer.
a lot of people were praying for him.

I live fairly close to Bethel. Subsequent to leaving their assignments, quite a few stay in the area. It's so sad to see the emotional toll that being childless has taken on these couples, especially on the sisters. This is one of the most heinous policies thrust upon them. Just sickening.

The facts are that Dylan Roof is a self procalimed racist. Yes and he's insane. I think that by definition murdering racists are all insane. And they should be judged by their peers and condemned to whatever punishment the law prescribes.
No one is making the story go away. But one has to acknowledge that certain media outlets as as well as posters sensationalize and politicize garden variety lunatics. It was on CNN, and on pretty much every news outlet. No one is making it "go away." I'm just questioning the somewhat shaky websites that are making political hay of this.
I'm not certain how pointing out the fact that the perpetrator here is mentally ill stigmatizes all mental illness. It does however lay a groundwork wherein one gains perspective of what is motivating the crime.
Besides...Everyone knows that its all Trumps fault
