  so i'm pretty sure my fade is complete.

  but the concept of fading still makes me wonder.

  So I'm pretty sure my fade is complete. Haven't stepped foot inside a KH in 9 years. But the concept of fading still makes me wonder. I know the idea is that one slowly fades away and does nothing that would put them in jeopardy of committing a "sin" worthy of a JC.

  But the reality is, that as one fades, the odds of committing a sin worthy of a JC increase only because one begins a "normal" life not influenced by a cult. So for you faders out there I'm wondering what sins you've committed that are worthy of a JC if you were still in.

  I'll fess up, I've:

  Celebrated Christmas complete with a tree and gifts.

  Voted in national and local elections.

  I have gotten a tattoo of a Celtic Cross on my bicep. (This was my personal way of DA'ing without actually sending a letter)

  Sometimes I drink to excess.

  I've seen many, many R rated films.

  I use the F word pretty regularly.

  I visit and post on apostate websites.

  I've enjoyed weed a time or two.

  I've donated to the Cathedral of St Cristobal in San Juan, PR and was given a St. Christopher medal that I wear everyday.

  So if ever I'm invited to a JC, I've got a lot of ground to cover.

  Okay, one more comment about this. If I were to remember the wife of Lot, I would remember that her husband pimped out her daughters to protect mighty spirit creatures. Then, in a perfectly normal human response to gaze upon the spectacular destruction of one's home, she was mercilessly put to death by an angry, jealous, pitiful spirit creature that couldn't put up with her shit.

  That's what I would remember.........

  Re read the right leaning Examiner's coverage again. Not 15% of immigrants are terrorists. Rather 15% of the FBI's overall investigations focus on immigrants. I'm glad they're investigating, that's what they do. But not 15% of immigrants are terrorists. The title of the article is misleading.

  The FBI has revealed that at least 15 percent of the agency's terrorism investigations focus on immigrants who arrived as refugees.

  It appears to me that much of the wave of immigration can be traced back to the Syrian civil war and the West's inability/refusal to really deal with an obvious crisis. I understand how war weary the US and others are, but if there were ever a reason to go to war, it seems to me that Assad's regime deserves to be ended.

  Years later, now that Russia has taken a side, there is no real hope for those people and the mass immigration will continue, no doubt fueling nationalistic sentiments.

  How does western civilization claim the moral high ground, while ignoring suffering at the hands of a dictator, then turn around and deny these people refuge?

  one thing over the years social media has made me painfully aware of is how many times i see someone use the phrase "i'll pray for you" and the outcome is bad.

  recently a friend of mine who at one time was my manager where i worked got cancer.

  a lot of people were praying for him.

  I live fairly close to Bethel. Subsequent to leaving their assignments, quite a few stay in the area. It's so sad to see the emotional toll that being childless has taken on these couples, especially on the sisters. This is one of the most heinous policies thrust upon them. Just sickening.

  Received my first letter since leaving

  since i left at the second half of 2016, i never received something like this.

  it is a one and a half page hand written letter that is written by an elder pioneer (i guess he needed some easy way to get his time in).. it is not written in english, so i will translate it:.
